That's probably because most men (myself included) spend a great deal of their time in "chase-mode" (sexually focused on finding a place to deposit sperm), but as soon as they find out you have a boyfriend, and thus that sperm deposit isn't a possibility (typically anyway). It takes men out of the 'chase' mode and they then disappear off your radar screen.
Balance in life is everything... anything is bad in excessive quantities. Sex is no exception, sex is great, but there are so many other different flavors in life out there to taste. Like conversing with you for instance
