Hell on Earth: A Demonic Romance (IC)

She pouted looking to him, "Fine..." she said, "Pizza sounds like fun anyway."

She came back over flooping down on the couch. "I hope you know I'm not made of money. I can't keep buying tailsmens every time you get the urge to burn them." Tossing a pillow at his head she lay down in his lap when the pillow landed there. Looking up at him she smiled. "So, if you are staying you have to get a job." she said seriously. "What are you good at?"

He glanced at her oddly. She really was handling this a lot better than most people would if they had found out the man they had took in off the streets could conjure fire with his mind. Ah well, some humans dealt with things they couldn't understand by ignoring them, maybe the same was true for her. He shrugged as she continued talking.
"I don't know, I haven't had a lot of time to explore my skill set..." He said vaguely, waving off her suggestion that he get a job. "If you need money I'm sure I can find a way to get you some..." He said, thinking about what he could do, maybe just go out and murder someone and take their loot? Rob a bank? Anything would work really.. what were these mortals going to do to stop him?

"Dante?" she looked to him with a playful grin. "If I asked you to stay with me, what would you say?" she sat up to really look at him oblivious to anything as she spoke. "I mean I've been on my own for awhile outside of my aunt's favors and Melody's company its a really lonely life. It'd be pretty cool to have a friend... even if he claims he's a demon. Though you're little magic trick still baffles the mind..." Not to mention his being shot. She still didn't want to believe that.

"Sorry, mister anchorman. I'm not exactly among the higher paid ranks here." Clara held out her hand. "Toss it over. I'll get it ready for you. Only take a minute..."

A few minutes later, and she was handing him the cup once again, a spoon stuck in it as she took her own and hopped up onto the futon. "I'm getting kind of worried about her though. I tried to talk to her in college a few days ago, and she barely said two words. Granted, we're not friends or anything. I've been trying to keep my distance until I got the word from you to do more."

She slurped up a noodle, glancing at him. "With this new info, though... Do you think I should try? She knows I live here... We've passed a few times."

"You want me to move in with you?" He asked surprised.. She'd just shot him in the chest like ten minutes ago. Christ this broad must be crazy. The truly holy ones usually were though. He chuckled at that, glancing up at her suspiciously. Did Heaven know he was here? Was she some sort of agent of the Order? Was she trying to keep him here so they could find him and destroy him? Nah that seemed unlikely. She didn't know shit about the life. No way she could have stayed so nonchalant about having a demon in her home if she was of the Order. "I guess I can stay... for a bit longer anyway."

Nova inspected his 'meal' for a moment before regarding her. "I do think it wise to have a closer eye on her. Perhaps bonding with her is not such a bad idea. However be careful of the demon, it would be better if he doesn't know who you are. So invite her here for study dates if possible." He said then slurpped up some noddles the action causing some juice to splash across his glasses. "Charming meal..." he said dripping with sarcastic glee as he wiped the juice from his glasses.

"Aww, come on Dante. You can stay with me while you heal, then get yourself a job and help me out around here. Its hard studying and working having no help in between. Please." she whinned jumping up off his lap she began bouncing on the couch a childish exuberance to get her own way. "Please. Please. Please. Please. Please...." she continued the chant while bouncing around him until he would give. The tickling got his name from him perhaps the tantrum would get him to conceede.

Dante continued to stare at her as if she was insane. He had torched her stuff, survived a gunshot wound that she herself inflicted and basically told her he was a demon.. and she wanted him to move in with her. This girl was either clearly in denial about what he was... or else was some crazy satanist who was getting off on the stuff. He suspected the former, she didn't seem like the type who was into fucked up pentagrams and summoning imps from the netherworld. He was broken out of his thoughts as she lunged forward, tickling him. What the fuck? He resisted the urge to incinerate her where she stood, but he still fell over in a fit of giggling. Yes, Dante, King of Hell, ruler of the Burning Kingdom, Lord of the Underworld, was ticklish. "Fine! Fine! Just stop it!!!" He said, laughing as she crawled on top of him, her breasts hanging in his face. Very nice indeed.

Melody Comes Back

Melody had a bad feeling that something was going on she had to see her friend, she sighed some and went right up to where she lived, she decided to surprise her, she walked up to the porch of her home and had no idea what was going on she took a deep breath and knocked on the door waiting for Serenity to open.

(OOC: Hope thats better sorry I couldn't reply sooner my internet died on me)

Laughing along with Dante she smiled down at him then fumed when she saw his eyes on other things. "You perv." she said smacking him away and tossing a pillow effectively in his line of sight.

That's when the doorbell rung. "Opp..visitor." she squealed and jumped up but not before coming around the couch to hug Dante and give him a proper kiss on the cheek. "Thanks!" she said and rushed off to answer the door.

With a gleeful squeal she rushed into her friend's arms with a big hug before dragging her inside. "Hey Melody, what brings you by?" she asked ushering her to the couch where Dante sat.

Dante shrugged as she called him a pervert. He was a fucking demon. Of course he was a pervert. She should be thanking her lucky stars that he hadn't just taken her, harvested her soul and used her body as a plaything until he got bored of her. Sure he'd considered it, but it probably would draw a lot of attention if he used that type of demonic power on earth. Besides, she had a touch of the holy in her it seemed, and that could have consequences with the whole Order of Assholes things.

He swore softly as she opened the door and Melody rushed in, great now there were two of them. It wasn't that he didn't like Melody... it was just that.. well he didn't like anyone. He was forced to put up with Serenity because it was her house, blah blah blah all that stupid stuff, but with Melody it was just like throwing wood on the fire... Oh well. He'd be out of here soon enough, once he'd healed up, and maybe gotten a taste of Serenity first he thought with an evil smile.

She smiled "Hey Serenity" She said kindly, she was happy she was ok, she sighed some not going to say she had a bad feeling because that would make her feel stupid. "I wanted to surprise you, but I didn't know you had company over, I should have called, I will go" She headed to leave.

Serenity shook her head kicking the door closed before she could get out. "No no you can stay. You know Dante the guy I picked up off the streets a few weeks back. He's harmless." she said but then thought about it after the current events of just this day alone. Oh well nothing to scream about she just wouldn't tell Melody for fear of the girl telling authorities and making a mess of it.

"So what brings you here... you look a little worried. Something wrong?"

She saw him, it was him the man she saw in her dreams, she knew right off something wasn't right but she couldn't tell her not in front of him. Looking into her eyes she sighed. "I had a bad dream and I was worried about you, the war we are in, just wish it would end, personally I do not know why we cannot just live in peace, not every single demon or half demon is evil"

OOC: I wanted to make her something different making her an ignorant human gets really boring, and i don't play ignorant people, but nvm

Fast forward...

With the night drawing near Serenity saw Melody to the door walking her to the lobby of her apartment building before returning to her home. Dante was stretched out on her sofa sleep already. Lazy bum...

Going to her room she flopped on her bed pulling out her books for school, she began the long strenous habit of studying. With a little coffee brewing in the kitchen and her lamp light on, still unable to get herself a decent desk she uses her bed for most everything. Chewing on the end of her eraser she glared at her books finding the numbers and letters all jumbled up in her vision.

With a hefty sigh she got up to check on Dante still asleep on the couch she pulled a blanket from her closet covering him up before going to the kitchen for some coffee.

Dante wasn't truly sleeping, as a demon he needed no rest in order to recharge himself. He felt no tiredness or lack of energy. But he realized over the past few weeks that if he acted like he was asleep she'd shut up for a good portion of the evening. It seemed like she didn't sleep at all. He knew she did for a few hours each day, but not nearly as often as he thought humans did. Once she cloistered herself in her room he sat up, sighing, he was bored as hell. He turned the TV on, leaving the volume off, just watching the images. Christ humans were weird he thought as a guy with a huge clock and a viking helmet who looked like he was on crack stood in front of a line of human females, as if choosing one to be a mate. He narrowed his eyebrows in contemplation, what the hell was going on in this show?

He clicked it off and laid back down when he heard her stir in the other room and he lay back down, and pretended he was still asleep so she wouldn't bother him. She came out of the room in her typical pajamas, a small pair of boxer shorts and a tight tank top. He peek a look at her cleavage as she bent over him, putting the blanket on top of him before retreating to the kitchen. He sat up, doing his best to act like he was just asleep. "Hey... how's the studying going?" He asked, bored as hell before she even began to answer, he didn't have anything better to do at the moment though.

Serenity yawned coming over to sit on the arm of the couch next to his head just leaning back. "Its alright. I suppose I'll pass my test tomorrow." she said yawning again. She had a bowl of grapes not much else to eat around the place. "I need to go to the store tomorrow too. Did you want anything?" she asked rubbing at her eyes. Damn she was tired but had to study to pass the grade. The temperature in the room seemed to spike suddenly at least to her. Slipping more onto the couch she snagged the blanket from him huddling up as a chill ran through her.

Flicking on the tv she chuckled at the show that was on not a big fan herself but what else was there to watch. "Want some?" she asked holding up the bowl as while she snagged another shivering again. "Is the window open?"

He looked at her thigh as she sat on the couch arm, again his urge to just take her rising. He was a demon, evil sort of came with the label after all. But he couldn't do shit like that. If his cousin, brother, or any of the angelic order was around he'd be essentially sending up a fucking flare to be found with. He'd taken a huge chance earlier with the fire he'd summoned to burn her talismens, and he couldn't risk anything else. He'd have to use good old fashion seduction if he wanted a piece of her.
He yawned as she talked about her studying. It would do a good job making it seem like he was tired, but he was actually just bored sick. He wanted to get out and do something. Her mention of going to the store brought his head up. "Oh ummm we should just get a bunch of microwaveable stuff..." He said cringing at the thought of more of her cooking. "I mean... you'll need the extra time for studying right? And let's face it you're not the greatest cook." He couldn't help but add grinning teasingly at her. "Nope, window's closed, must be another one of those weird things in your apartment."

Belial looks up with a grin as the last trails of sunlight gives way to a clear night sky. Angels may be at their peaks in the light of day, but nights are the playgrounds of demons, ghouls, and the like.

With a thought, the demonlord's armor and cloak are replaced by a form-fitting shirt, trousers, and a long leather coat, all black, before he steps out and onto the street. Blood red veins can be seen along the fabric of his coat, pulsing with every step as he weaves through a crowd of intoxicated college students, flashing a dark but charming grin at the scantily clad girls among them. Too easy... Belial thought as he chuckled to himself.

Just then, something tickled a corner of his mind, causing him to pause in his step. A link to one of his lieutenants...

"Report..."

"General, the forces of Heaven have dispatched a unit of their elite to the mortal realm."

Belial couldn't help the dark, sadistic grin that crossed his features, causing those nearest to him, those who could still see straight, to inch away from him slowly as he continued down the street.

"Any news of the King?"

"A report arrived of some activity in an apartment building not far from your current location, General."

"Very well, keep me posted."

Belial severs the link and turns to what seemingly was just the shadow of a street lamp, giving it the slightest of nods. The line flickers ever-so faintly, as one of his elites was dispatched to survey the reported location...

He chuckles softly as he steps into one of The Brimstone. Seraphim...I wonder if they've gotten any better...

Strapped securely to his back, the blade of Naberus seems to quiver on its own in anticipation...

Serenity glared at his last comment about her cooking, pouting a bit at it. But she knew she wasn't the best cook in the world still she did fairly good. "Fine I'll get microwavable stuff but you're coming with me." she said sneezing suddenly. "Great now I'm sick." she muttered getting to her feet she went to the bathroom searching around for some medicine. Finding it she quickly dranked some down no need for spoons with this.

Satisfied with that she decided to leave Dante to his own devices and went back to her room flopping down on the bed as she looked over her books. Another sneeze followed after another caused her to growl unhappily. "I'm sick! Its all your fault Dante!" she called to him deciding she'd blame him for her misfortunes. He didn't seem to care about much anyway.
