Hell on Earth: A Demonic Romance (IC)

"Yeah I'm fine but why'd you go and kill him. He was one of the more fun ones." she pouted but then smiled launching herself at Dante with a big hug. "Thanks." she said then looked around the warehouse with a bit of apprehension.

"Um... I just have one question. Were you and Nova working together to save me?" she squinted her eyes in the dim lighting trying to gadge his reaction but then shook her head. "Nevermind. I want to get out of here..." she said hugging him again happy to be back with him once more.

"Don't worry, I didn't kill him." He gestured to the body of Quiote who was beginning to dissolve away in a cloud of greasy black smoke. "He'll just be banished back down to hell for a century, unable to walk the earth again unless summoned by the free will of a human..." He grabbed Serenity in a hug, returning it fully before realizing what he was doing. What if what Nova said was true, was he really... in love? Nah. He let her go, looking around the room for any signs of a threat.
"Nova and I were sort of working together. I think something bad happened to that other Angel... Chrissy, Clarie.. whatever her name was.... He seemed fairly concerned. Let's go." He said as he took her hand, dashing out of the warehouse.

"Clara? What happened..." she tried to get more information but they were on the move quicker then she could get her concerns out. The hug wasnt' missed but she hardly had time to question that as well.

"Where are we going?" she asked then, realize he was simply moving her along. "You know your cousin is still out there. He might try to come get me again. Maybe I should go with Nova just until you straighten that out. I dont' want to become a burden."

Ah the guitar. Dilan had missed those easier days, when Bossanova was a muse and Dilan was.... Well Dilan was always the angel of death. Waves of sound, the angelic chrous, Dilan still felt all the connections, he felt revitalized, stronger than he had in a long while. Reaching back he felt the grasp of polished wood so familiar, so simple, the old hum of life like a taut string.

The staff started to appear So did his wings. He needed real connection to use it. First one handle then two. The bent wood appearing visible to all for the first time in years. Good God how Dilan had missed the feel of it. His wings unfurled to a huge span of area then folded as he clinked the bottom and the Blade wicked and sharp scythe head extended. Unlike so many it had no name, The Scythe had always sufficed.

Kuuroinochou said:
"Chop that suckah's head off before he gets his barings."

"Oh with pleasure." The final twang of the Guitar could have shaken the club back to hell and debri and dust covered Dilan's first flight in years. he leaped Bowling lesser demons over as his wings beat to blow dust back at the confused behemoth. The arms came back as Dilan landed on top of the beast Scythe high over head. he slammed forward hard the point smashing home into the side of the behemoth's neck, Dilan began slicing a cruel trail as he ran over it's shoulders. Working and cutting till like a can opener he'd sliced the entire top off. Huge hands began reaching as he flew off The demon grabbing and vainly trying to put presure as it bled out Falling and vanishing back to hell as it's bulk drove it down.

"Good enough?" He ran off through another crowd, it felt good to be alive.

And dealing death.

"I don't really know what happened, but if what Nova was saying made any sense to me it sounds as if someone, maybe my brother, maybe my cousin, or any other number of powerful demon lord, has captured Clara and has turned her to the dark side so to speak." Not that it was terribly difficult to turn a weaker angel.. especially not when they were made to face the hypocricy of their so called holy brethern.

"I don't know where we're going yet, but I'm not going to leave you with Nova. I'm not letting you leave my side again. There's too much at stake. Just because Nova helped get you back doesn't mean I trust him yet. The man is still my sworn enemy." He growled slightly, wishing things hadn't become so bloody complicated.

Serenity smiled at his declaration, wether he noticed or not he sounded like a protective boyfriend. To her that was almost as excited as she could get, she'd never dated let alone had a boyfriend. Still she remained silent about it, if anything this whole experience made her realize just how much she valued Dante at her side.

Rushing up to him she grab his arm hugging it tightly before hugging him around the waist. "Thank you Dante... I missed you so much."

When he was sure she was wrapped around him tight neough that she wouldn't see his face he finally let a smile come to his face. It was good to see her again. "Did Virgil harm you at all? Did he do anything bad to you?" He asked, concern in his eyes as they continued walking away from the warehouse. "Stay close to me, there's hordes of ghouls out tonight.." As if on cue five of them popped out of the ground surrounding him. He sighed heavily as he drew his pistols. "Get down." He said calmly as he took aim on the first of the pests.

Serenity shook her head, "No he left just about as soon as he dropped me off. Had his minons sniffing around me though." she said just as a ghoul sprouted up out of the ground.

Ducking she closed her eyes but opened them only to see more ghouls sprout up behind them. "Um.. shouldn't you be able to send them back or something? Why are they attacking?"

She kicked one away shrieking as it came to slither around her. Holding on to Dante for support and mostly out of fear.

"I am sending them back." He said with a wicked grin as the hammer fell again, blasting another ghoul off the mortal plane. "As for being able to control them, I wish I could, but these ghouls have sworn allegiance to Virgil it appears. I'd have about as much luck controlling them as you would." He turned and fired again, clearing a path around them as he continued pulling her gently forward. Their ranks were thinning and it appeared as if Dante and Serenity would be able to burst through soon. He pulled her closer as he began firing rapidly, opening a hole that he dashed through, Serenity following close behind. "Come on, I know a place we should be able to lay low for a while while Nova and Death do their thing."

"Death?" she questioned, that was odd. Death actually existed in a solid form. She followed closely behind Dante as he fired off round after round. Sending the ghouls back to where they came in numbers. She blinked again when more of them seemed to slither about them. It freaked her out but so far Dante hadn't given her any reason not to trust him.
