Heels

I thought I would try a thread to explore heels for men. I have never worn them but want to.
The trouble is that I have no clue how to start and I have a few problems with it. To begin with, I have a large shoe size for men ( 11 1/2). How does that transfer to a womans size? Since I am a bit new to this and shy as well, I need to order them on line so where do you look?
Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

usually you will need about 2 sizes larger. Wide width usually helps some too but i will go 2.5 sizes higher sometimes for regular width. Many places online with larger womens sizes if you do a search for heels for men. Two of my favorite places are glamour botique and snaz75.

eBay has served me well in this respect. "Pleaser" are a good brand to look for; not only do they specialise in the thrillingly slutty, uber-sexy, "F**k me NOW!" style of ladies' footwear, but they also cater for the male market with their sizing.

I have a lovely pair of their red patent "Milan" pumps and also a pair of their black PVC thigh-length stiletto boots (can't remember the name of these). Can't recommend them enough!

When I first started wearing heels I bought the highest pair I could, it was something like a 7in heel. I would suggest going smaller, and practice going down steps, that was the hardest part for me. The plus side, well they are sexy to wear, but they also tone your thighs and butt, which is always nice.
