I really do consider so many at Lit to be my family - from those who are as close as brothers and sisters to the cousins you enjoy hanging with at a reunion... I am more myself here than anywhere else in my life.

I am hanging in there. I miss her so much... everyone... if your moms are still alive - please call them, email them, text them, hug them... tell them you love them. i have no regrets - we told each other ALL the time how much we loved each other. Her services are Sunday/Monday and all of this love and support will help hold me up.

I'm sorry I don't have the energy to respond to each and every poster right now but I will next week. To those of you I already call friend - you know I love you... to my acquaintances thank you for reaching out - may we get to know each other better... and to those of you who are strangers... thank you so much for touching my heart with your kindness.

Now go tell your moms you love them... and if you've lost your mom already then I now know the pain you feel. To think I'll never hear... "Hi honey, it's mom" again breaks my heart - save some silly voice mail she leaves you - I wish I had.

Today is the final visitation at the funeral home and tomorrow is the actual funeral. AJ is having a very rough time right now - lets have everyone send a bunch of good thoughts, good karma her way to help her in this time of sorrow.

First and foremost to my dear sweet friend Papa - thank you. Thank you for not running from the discomfort that is around when someone is grieving. You have touched my heart in an everlasting way.

I'd also like to add a thank you to two other Lit friends - you know who you are... K & J - you did not post here but you contacted me ever day - via phone, texts, flowers, jokes, whatever you could think of that would lift my spirits. I felt your love envelope me and hold me when I could not hold myself. The two of you are amazing. Thank you.

Frosty - Thank you sweet lady... anything? It's just one day at a time, one foot in front of the other. Plenty of people get through worse than this - with the way I feel I can't imagine how.

AS2U - I lost Dad last May - as we were not very close and there were issues it was a much easier death to process. I was left saddened but nothing like the grief that weighs on me now. I know this will take lots of time.
