Heartless

Yes, it is my opinion.

If you believe the call wasn't late or otherwise, that's fine. If a President could reach out on day one, so could an ex-president or even the next day, given that he was just wounded on Saturday. It's an observation based on Trump's actions immediately after the event.

First, he addressed his public image as his priority, and it wasn't until a reporter asked about speaking or offering condolences to the others that Trump stopped to think about them. Typical Donald Trump and the narcissistic nature of the man. There are volumes about his character and his lack of concern for others on the matter. No one can refute those well-documented issues.

Of course, no one said she complained. Why are you asking? Do you want to berate my statement as an attempt to shade Trump for something he could have done earlier but didn't?

She was gracious and reiterated that she held no malice about Biden or felt it was in any way caused by Biden regarding that first contact on Saturday. With regard to Trump, in fact, she said, according to the article, Trump said he would keep in contact, as I mentioned elsewhere. She took the time to respond to reporters about both men even amidst her grief, although she and her daughters certainly did have more important things to address. That also speaks well of her. She deserves to be respected and allowed privacy in her grief. That she had to contend with politics at the same time is sad.

To reiterate my words from this thread:

"A late call it was, but it came. She indicated it was heartfelt. Let it lie.

"Making a condolence call was expected. Someone died by bullets meant for another. The family will mourn the day, now, tomorrow, and forever.

"So, will the Crooke family that raised the kid who fired the shots—grief of a different kind as well as the loss of a son."

Yes, there are many reasons Trump might not have made the call. One of them relates to his character, at the very least. As for Mrs. Corey Comperatore, none of them matter at all.
Hmmmmm...so a question, as ex-commander in chief and since the president (and past presidents as well it seems, at least according to the donald and lawyers) are immune from answering for their actions, does that also mean he gets a purple heart for being wounded in action as a past president? Just asking for a friend.
