HBO: True Detective

Season one was lightning in a bottle, everything just worked.

2/3 were shit and worse than shit.

This one sees a return to having a supernatural undertone, and great cast, but there's something about it that falls flat to me. The story itself feels like its just trying to hard and Foster doesn't seem to be trying at all.
I get that. Maybe I just want it to be good. The one eye polar bear made me think of Lost, and that isn't a good thing. :)

I watched the first season. Usually I hate slow burn or dark themed crime movies/shows, but there was something about the show that made me stick with it till the end. To this day I'm surprised that I liked season one.

I don't think the other seasons managed to have that magic. Because I tried to watch them but gave up after a few episodes

Yeah, its like it should be good, but just isn't. Oh, well.

On the other hand, I caught a trailer for Pale Horse and that looks good.
