When I was younger, I went up on the rooftop with a couple of workers and a mason jar of white lighting! It was quite the afternoon!

Yeah, sorta. It wasn't really a "life threatening" situation, but I've pulled a few people out of the drink during races. And I have jumped in to help right an overturned boat or two...
I did once, take a mayday call from a sinking boat, but we were too far away to help. (and I puked my fuckin' guts out doing the navigation to determine that, as we ploughed through 6' seas in 35+ winds...fuckin' long night...)

Yes. While in the Army our commander once misjudged a wilderness trail which made us end up walking 10+ hours, some as long as 16.

Both off side tyres blew at the same time.
