Yes. John Glenn and I sat up a stage for Jimmy Carter to speak. I knew Clyde Beatty the lion trainer.

If you are not fond of famous people who cheat, you've got a lot of manslut-shaming to do. You're going to be so busy manslut-shaming you won't have time to ever be famous yourself!

I've met a lot of famous musicians, film people, a few politicians-- especially lately-- some scientists-- just because I grew up and still live where people like that happen to congregate, Los Angeles.

Vancouver, BC

Robert Bateman, I have his autograph on my invitation to his exhibit.

Margaret Thatcher near the Vancouver Art Gallery

Prince Charles & Lady Diana @ Expo 86

Queen Elizabeth & Prince Philip at the Four Seasons Hotel

Judy Chicago @ her exhibit at the Vancouver Museum

There are probably more, I'll think on it. :rose:

I respect the privacy and the right of private citizens to do as the please under the confiens of just law. The manslut should heave respected the office of President and the American people whose confidence he breached. Should have been impeached.

And you don't think Kennedy was banging Marilyn over the desk in the oval office?

Grow up.

I'd rather deal with a president getting a BJ than spending his time fucking the country which is all the two that have followed him have done.

Well hello to another fellow Vancouverite!

Since we're known as Hollywood North because of all the movies that are filmed here, you can often run into actors on the streets and in the restaurants.

To the question at hand I suppose the only truly famous people I've met(because most of the people I met in the "comic" world wouldn't qualify as really famous)

I've met Stan Lee a few times, a couple of quickies at conventions, but one time got to sit at his table for a half hour after winning a raffle amongst the dealers. The guy is hilarious.

I met Chuck Norris back in my early twenties during a martial arts tour. He spoke to us as a group then individually, but quickly. My time with him was like three minutes and he got my name wrong.

When Linda Blair was at Spooky World I got to have a cup of coffee with her back stage because I was helping set the place up and she was pretty interesting (and pretty damn hot I think she was early forties then and she was cougar material for sure)

But I suppose she's only famous within a certain circle of people. I also met Linnea Quigly. A Gold star to anyone who even knows who she is.

-You live in service to the nation. Everything that you are belongs to us. You are to embody strong virtuouse principle's as you guide the nation to a more perfect plane.
-When it comes to POTUS I don't think it unfair to expect perfection and perfection in every area.
-I take credit away from Bush jr for many things, I give him credit for family values. The rest is partialy his father and mothers fault for not raiseing him proper.

-Would have voted to impeach
-Then would have requested prison time
-The french can laugh and say. We are fine with Maslut heads of states. But we were' conqured by the germans twice.

Guess every "potus" would fall short of that one.

I met Ian McKellan and Michael Cashman at a conference for parents of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

They were both totally awesome.

:rose::rose: for them.

-Most of them have
-President gives up the right to be happy

-In theory miliatary leaders understand sacrifice and would make great leaders
-Colin Powell would have been a hell of President

The sister-in-law of the actor who played Commissioner Gordon on the Batman television show was my babysitter. This was a lot more impressive before I stopped being able to show my age by simply holding up fingers.

I met a few people connected with the Flyers' hockey team, including Gene Hart, their longtime play-by-play announcer. I was glad I did, for I think within the year after that he died, and he was a great deal of fun. We also met former players Gary Dornhoeffer and Steve Coates and defenseman Kjell Samuelsson. I have also met, quickly, some players and others with the Capitals.

We met the Flyers' people b/c my brother won a fan contest with Fox Sports and met John LeClair, They did a spot which ran about 2 mins during an intermission. I am concluding that this is one few things not available on the internet, the other being a band that included the son of a friend of my mom, Tomorrow's Party. So, no, Virginia, not everything is on the internet. ;)

Jesse Helms in 2002.

Howard Dean in 2003.

Joe Scarborough in 2007.

Orson Scott Card (my favorite author in the world!) at some point in college.

Too many to list.

It comes of living a long time mixing with Nobs and Plebs in Central London.

A sample (and I don't mean being in a crowd but meeting or being introduced to them)

Music: Eric Clapton (hired the Yardbirds for a private party and Eric came too); The Stones; Jimmie Hendrix; Duke Ellington; Humphrey Littleton; Cleo Laine.

Royalty: Her Majesty, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Princess Anne, The Queen Mother.

Politicians: Sir Winston Churchill; Margaret Thatcher; Airey Neave; Enoch Powell; Sir Harold Wilson; James Callaghan; and several Liberals before they became Liberal Democrats.

Edited to add: None of them would remember me, nor be concerned that they didn't. :D

I was waiting to drive across a main street in Hollywood one afternoon in the 80s, and some dude was crossing it towards me. The light was in his eye making him squint and he was swinging his arms-- I said "he looks like Popeye" and my companion said "You idiot, that's Robin Williams!"

During the 80s I worked in the industry making props and sets and stuff.

I was at an after-party for a film by Dennis Hopper. It was all about this girl who wishes Elvis Presley were still alive. She ends up killing herself and her mother, but not until Hopper indulged himself with of screentime angsting over the manslaughter charges his character had racked up.

At the party, Hopper was being all upset about how nihiilistic the kids were these days killing themselves and their mothers, and I got to remind him that he wrote that script, no kid had any part of it. And Steven Spielberg laughed at him.
That was fun. ;)

But most of my celeb contacts were someone walking past in the studios.

But I got to coax George Clinton into a giant milk shake for this video(wish I could find a decent copy! this is horrible quality and truncated) I made most of the practicals in this vid-- the fancy mirror, the poison box, and painted all of the goofy colors. There was no budget, see, and I was good with foamcore and house paint... Besides Clinton, most of the Oingo Boingo were involved, also The Chili Peppers and Fishbone. Not that you can find them in this copy.

Almost forgot: had my picture taken with Pete Trewavas, the bassist for Marillion (my favorite group) when I saw them in Philly last June. :)

I started to read The Right Stuff on a plane once upon a time and quickly decided it wasn't a great idea.

Was it "Airplane" when they put the" inflight movie" on and it was of planes crashing and blowing up?

Met the band Incubus as Ozzfest 1998 and had three of them sign a cardboard facemask.

Talked to the lead guitarist of Morbid Angel a couple of times.

I watched the Superbowl next to Phil Bosco (character actor) a couple of times at his house (I know his grandson).
