There are several reasons people don’t vote. Some are non-political, some don’t vote because of moral or religious convictions. Some don’t vote because they feel their vote won’t count perhaps they are a republican in California or a democrat in Alabama either way their vote won’t swing the vote percentage in the respective state. So they don’t go to the polls on election day.
However, there is a new reason people may not choose to vote those who feel their vote will not be counted correctly. The majority of these people are republicans. 46% of republicans doubt their vote will be counted correctly verses only 8% of democrats who doubt their vote will be counted correctly.
This is only poll with a very small sample size but do you the fact those who believe their vote will be miscounted vote anyhow? Or will they stay home refusing to waste their time voting if the counters will screw it up anyhow?
