... building a collaborative story one sentence/post at a time? If not, anyone interested?

someone will nibble, I am sure.

If not, it's no biggie.

I was just thinking of a kind of free-for-all one sentence per author per day (max) thing. No obligations/pressures -- just maintain the chosen tone (hot, wacky, teasing, whatever).

Kinda curious where it would go.

I have neglected a collaborative story, which is totally engaging to me. I hope to rest a bit and continue that one, as it is dear to me.

I've heard your co-writer is a patient woman.

Yes, there are several different ones hidden back in the land of dead threads. Each with a different premise.

there was one that required three words and only three words in each post.

There was one that was "add a full sentence" and several that limited contributions to a paragraph.

Another one would probbly draw some interest for a while until it got really off kilter and couldn't be salvaged.

The biggest problem is simultaneous posting -- two (or more) people taking the story in different directions at the same time.

Yeah, that would be a bitch.

Oh well ...

That's the whole fun of this isn't it?

People can choose which direction they take?

Of course -- but one direction at a time.

If two simultaneous (or thereabouts) posts are made that take the story in wildly different directions, whatcha gonna do? I suppose you could require an edit of the latter post.
