Go for it, Jammies. Who gives a flying fuck what the rest of the world thinks? Be your own bad self.

We don't have nearly enough insight into the secret world of socks. You're an intrepid explorer bringing back wonderful tales of a culture rarely seen in The West.

So go for it! :D

The question should be whether you've had enough of the socks. If you have a good idea for the Halloween Contest ... then I would suspect that you haven't. Write because you enjoy it, not because someone tells you to.

I know I will read it. :D

Hell, if most of us let feedback dictate whether or not we wrote, there would be a good many FEWER stories on Lit. I say write it and feedback be damned!

Some sock links would be appreciated as well :)
*inner thought* Sock links? Could that be like garters? Maybe that Freud guy was right...

I voted "who cares" but then realized that didn't say what I meant it to say. What I meant was "who cares" what the rest of the world thinks, Jammies. If writing another sock story makes you happy, then go for it!

Isn't it amazing how we all can sort through all that praise and find that one little voice in the corner that is crying out criticism?

Imp...I think we need to make that T-Shirt and send one to Jammies...

Post it Jammikins...

I insist we mount a party to search for the vast hoard of socks that get lost in the laundry. I'm positive there is something like the Elephant Burial Ground where ONE blood sock from each pair goes to die. Why else would I have a drawer full on unmatch socks?

It wasn't just one, though, Bel, it was several. "Relentless, remorseless cuteness" and "strained, by-the-numbers sequel" were just two of the private comments I got on the third sock story. :(

Oh, tell 'em to kiss your cute otter ass.

It's dustbunny, Jen--see "Under the Dryer."

Ya know, they always have the option of NOT READING the story. Remember, those who feel driven to send negative comments do so as much for their own ego as for anything that will help you write.

"Relentless, remorseless cuteness"

"some people want to fill the world with silly love songs...and what's wrong with that?"

Sir Paul had the right idea...there is a place for fun and cuteness in my world damn it! ...and why should cuteness be any less relentless than all the nastiness we all deal with daily?

Add a little foot-fetish stuff to breath renewed life into it.

Sincerely

I LOVE the Sox stories!

You MUST continue with all that yummy, fuzzy sock-lovin'!!! :cathappy:

p.s. I think "relentless, remorseless cuteness" is a compliment :p

Keep those socks coming.

I wrote a different 'Sock' story for the 2003 Christmas contest and the sequel is still under construction.

More socks, please.
