Has Mass Effect been done?

Ever since I joined this site I have thought about starting a thread set in the Mass Effect universe. I think the story surrounding the games/books is amazing. I'm a huge sifi fan, and ME would have to be in the top of my favorites. I also belong to a ME fanfiction site, I have a few projects in the works right now. Are there any fans of the game here, and how many of you guys would be interested? I don't know if it would be best to use the characters from the game, but I think there is a lot of room to play with. I did search the site for a thread like this, and came up empty. So let me know

Well that does answer my question. OK, well I was thinking more about moving away from the game. Using original characters and not using the game story, just set in the world. I will have to work on something cause I would love to get a ME thread going I'm actually surprised I didn't find this in my search. Anyway thanks for this find.
