I’m looking for a female partner to play the main character in a long-term, slow-building roleplay that will involve you investigating a murder while becoming romantically and erotically entangled with a number of characters (men and women).
Dark Corners: A Disappearance in Brigg Mills
A year ago, you and your closest friend, Antonia, both of you barely struggling to make ends meet, had a falling out that irreversibly shattered your relationship. Antonia made her way to the town of Brigg Mills, where she was hired as a housekeeper by the unimaginably wealthy Ediger family. You lost touch with her, though you often thought about her and missed her warmth, easy laughter, and impulsive spirit.
Several months ago, you were contacted by Antonia’s mother back in the Philippines. She had not spoken to her daughter in months, and feared for her safety. Soon, you helped her get in touch with the police in Brigg Mills. With her mother’s cajoling, a brief, inconclusive investigation took place, placing the likely blame on some mystery man Antonia had supposedly run off with and demonstrating little interest in spending the time and resources to find a working-class immigrant.
You were not satisfied with the investigation. Uncertain of why, you suspected the truth of her disappearance lies within the Ediger family’s sprawling estate. Responding to a job posting, you get yourself hired as a member of the family's household staff.
Now, you are willing to do whatever it takes—deceiving, spying, seducing—to uncover the truth behind Antonia’s mysterious fate, while doing whatever you can to avoid being drawn into a dark web of secrets, sex, privilege, and desire.
The Ediger Family:
Raymond Ediger, 51. The hard-nosed patriarch of the Ediger family
Kathryn Ediger, 52. The prickly, demanding matriarch of the family
Liam Ediger, 27. The ambitious-but-idealistic, eldest Ediger son
Ethan Ediger, 20. The family fuck up, charming but reckless
Dara Ediger, 19. The self-centered-but-sensitive youngest member of the Ediger family
You will get to know the family along with their household staff, friends, rivals, and others over the course of the RP.
Other details
Your character can be anywhere from 20 to mid-30s. I’m looking for someone with strong writing skills, particularly in terms of creating a well-rounded character, who can post at least 4 times a week (post lengths can vary but generally at least one good solid paragraph per post would be great), though stuff happens and I get it.
The roleplay itself will be realistic in the sense that not all characters will just jump in bed with you. Some may be interested in casual sex, others may be reluctant, needing to be seduced, or needing to form some kind of emotional connection; others may not be interested at all. With that said, I’m anticipating there will be many steamy, detailed sex scenes. My limits are scat, force/non-con and (hopefully this goes without saying) anything involving characters under 18. In terms of non-sexual content, while some characters may exhibit sexism, xenophobia, classism, etc. as character flaws, I wholeheartedly reject all of that shit (the tone of this game will very much not be a “aren’t billionaires great??”).
Depending on how you feel, I may include some light roleplaying game mechanics to determine how some (non-sex or character interaction) scenes play out—for example, if you try to tail someone in your car without being caught, I may roll some dice to determine how that works out.
Lastly, I don’t have a ton of experience in writing or RP-ing mysteries, so this is kind of an experiment. I’m hoping (and anticipating) that it will take you a while to get to the bottom of it and that you’ll find the twists and turns satisfying along the way (and that even if the mystery turns out to be just okay, the characters and sexy stuff will keep you interested).
