I'm just curious as I have seen everyone bashing Bush (with good reason though).

Since this is one of the toughest jobs in America has anyone really admired or even tolerated a U.S. president (during your lifetime only though).

I was, and remain a big time fan of Reagan. But that's because I'm old enough to remember how miserable Jimmy Carter was.

I liked George Bush senior and I like G. W. Bush. There is a little difference though. I've met them personally several times in non-political settings. The are good men. (They are also more intelligent than ANYONE on this board.)

I'm also a Republican, and fairly active in Republican Party activities. I'm a fiscal conservative and a social moderate. Reagan, and both the Bush's are philosophically very close to my political mindset.

edited to add that I didn't vote because there is no way to vote for more than one.

Both Roosevelt's.... if I have to pick FDR... he kicked as and did it with a disability

FDR. From what I have read, he did very much for people and made changes.

And as much as I hate to admit it, I liked Clinton. Not really for his presidency, more because the dude was funny.

Kennedy. I wasn't born back then, but, I envy the guy. Hello, MARILYN & JACKIE!

Everything i've read about Kennedy has been positive. Would have loved to have seen the impact of his entire presidency.

Given that the one presidents i know are Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Bush jr, I don't have alot to pick from.

Oh, Abe Lincoln would be pretty cool today as prez, i think.

All politicans ARE liars. That's what they do. I like Clinton because he actually managed to balance some of the economy out during his time. But generally I say fuck em all. I'd rather see anarchy and chaos blow the world to hell than have a bunch of greedy mother fuckers rot it out from the inside.

I hear many people say they do not like clinton because he got a blow job in office and lied about it. Think of it this way- FDR died in a hot spring spa with his secretary whom he was banging.

FDR was still a good president.

I said George The Elder. I admire the man as a Gentleman & a diplomat. How many politicians are honest enough during a campaign to say"I'll say anything to be elected president"?:D

Reagan, hands down, was the best president in my lifetime. Of course, I've only been alive for five presidencies, but my point is still the same.

Reagan had Clinton's political savvy, plus he actually accomplished some positive things during his term.

George H.W. Bush was probably the brightest and most qualified president on that list; unfortunately he had all the charisma of a lampshade, so he wound up on his ass.

Clinton has probably changed the Office of the Presidency permanently, because he got in face time at every available opportunity. George W. Bush currently is suffering because he's not everywhere all the time, so public perception is that he's just asleep at the wheel and doesn't know what he's doing. I promise though, that's not the case.

If he can garner a little bit more Reaganesque/Clintonesque political savvy, I think he has the potential to be a very solid president. By that I don't mean that he'll wind up on Mount Ruishmore (although that would be funny). But I think we'll be able to look back in 50-100 years and say that he was the right man at the right time. I don't think that will be said about Clinton.

And as for FDR, the one and only thing I give him credit for is his successful diplomacy before and during World War II. Other than that, I consider his presidency on all counts a dismal failure.

yeah lying under oath is the punchline of the late 90's

It's the greatest punchline ever if your name is Jay Leno. Still can't get over that one. Bush can fall town some stairs into some mud because he couldn't walk and chew pretzels at the same time and all the jokes would be about CLinton.

All of them....

All were elected for their positions at their time in history. All made good and bad decisions, they are humans. The Presidents I've lived through in my life so far were never perfect, and some let me down in a big way. I will not pick any one President for my above reasons. President Bush is now my President, and I give him the same support and doubts than the preceeding Presidents. I know some moron will give the stone sheep remark about the 2000 election, but they are totally wrong, and have no clue on the electoral process. I would give Gore the same support and doubts if he had really won. I trust in the system developed 200+ years ago, and still remains strong today.

:D

Malcolm X!

The president of the United States is the imperialist commander in chief. I don't support or praise any of them. If I had to pick one on the list, it would be Kennedy. FDR was a reformer who actually saved the capitalist system and warded off working class revolution, which was a serious threat in the 1930's. "Honest" Abe was a vile and despicable racist, and his "Emancipication Proclamation" a fraud and a sham.

The only major American political figure in my lifetime that I could give any support to is Malcolm X-- and then only in his final phase, when he rejected black nationalism and embraced the idea of a multi-racial alliance of ALL the oppressed.

Shortly after that, they had him killed.

He really did a great move with the whole Air Traffic Controller thing. And the FCC thing...

Actually Spin... that was an excellent move. The Air Traffic Controllers went on strike in violation of their contract and Federal Law. Reagan did what was right and it worked out for the best in the long run too.

Presidents with real balls:
Kennedy
Reagan
Roosevelt
Roosevelt
Lincoln

Presidents with teeny, tiny little balls
Nixon
Clinton
Ford
Bush II

Can we get the list of presidents with average balls?

I think Clinton is #1 on this poll mostly because he was caught getting a BJ in the oval office.

I could be wrong though.

I think the ones with the average balls are the ones that no one can ever remember. Like...um...Ford? Um...Grant? Um...and that oher one.

What size balls did George Washington have? Inquiring minds want to know.

I'm guessing Bush 1 had average balls, in your classification scheme.
