Has anyone else been drinking since noon?

I have.

4 hours on a boat with my nephews complaining about the heat and we finally gave in and headed for shore. Or rather we figured it was best to turn back while my brother could still FIND the shore.

Now I'm enjoying the fireworks from my air conditioned livingroom. I could go out onto the beach, but I have refused to put on clothing again as it becomes sticky and cumbersome, and apparently walking around naked is "frowned apon" around here.

Next year we should all go to Greece for the fourth. They don't make you dress there right?

We went to the mudbog. They dug a crappy pit and they had rank amatuers running the show. Worse, timid idiots with a 4-by kept intruding into the real action and wasted a lot of time.

It was boring so we left halfway through.

Coors Light brough a beer truck, though we didn't partake a lot of people did. It started at 1 pm.

My sister-in-law was a bitch today. I think it's because she's jealous, at six months pregnant she can't wear a bikini or drink beer.

I tried to make her feel better. I told her that she was brining a wonderful gift into the world.

Then she looked at her 3 sons who were leaning over the side of the boat teaching their little sister how to spit for distance and her eyes welled up with tears.

Probably tears of joy, or maybe it's the hormones.

They're yanks, too. Nebraska was firmly on the side of the Union during the Civil War. Hell, they don't even have a good hick accent anywhere in that state.

Mudbog is the place where rednecks cluster around with the big, noisy trucks that have the big, noisy engines and big, noisy tires that all those Brits look down on us Americans for.
