That mother went to jail and everything.

It was a couple of illegal hunters who shot dingos. They killed the one that took the baby, scared they would get in trouble, took the baby and buried it.

She's been missing since 1985, and he only just came forward.

I was going to write a story on it, but don't know about the copyright laws, so didn't bother.
