hard on

What do you feel then that let's you know that you are aroused? What changes? You never get any type of feeling from your clit....kind of like a quick jolt, or a quick buzz from a vibrator?
Hmm. I once struggled to explain what bacon tastes like to somebody who could not eat it on religious grounds. He had eaten chicken and beef, but never pig. How the hell can you explain what bacon tastes like? This is a very similar issue.

Erm, reading your post again - you understand I am a man, posting earlier twice about erections? I'm sure you do and I am reading it wrong.

This is almost a perfect description...

What does an erection feel like? Well at first, it feels like falling. That free-fall feeling that you get on a roller coaster when you just start to head downward after the peak. The pit of your stomach rises to your throat as your cock begins to free-fall and defy the will of gravity.

But that is only for a few heartbeats. Then the warmth and the buzzing in the shaft begin. Like a million flies are swarming around the length and breadth of your tool, making the skin crawl and squirm. And you can feel the blood draining from all of your other organs to converge at the forefront of the action.

Next come the stretching and the pressure. You can feel the shaft elongating, and the skin peeling back from the head. The pubic hairs at the base begin to untangle. The skin of the shaft becomes taut, stretched, strained until it is paper thin. The pressure builds, and you imagine the Alien about to pop out of your chest, but in this case it wants to come through your crotch. The pressure builds, and it is both deliciously pleasurable and frighteningly dangerous all at the same time.

Finally, you begin to feel as if you are walking around with a loaded gun in your hands, with a hair trigger, and a frantic need to fire. You WANT to shoot, but you don't want to waste your one and only bullet. You crave to find the perfect target, the ideal bullseye, at which to aim your arrow of passion. You need to expel that projectile and feel the recoil, which you know will cause ripples of physical release throughout your entire body, leaving your muzzle smoking and your chamber empty but satisfied.

Hope that helps!......Carney

He left out the hot flash that comes along with the "free falling" sensation. As the penis enlongates you can almost feel the blood rushing in. You can feel the heartbeat in it. Sometimes I will spasam uncontrollably and my cock will jump. The hardness sensation is tough to describe. You want to squeeze really, really hard on your cock and feel the stroke. But you can't. Squeezing too hard hurts and makes your errection go away. When it is fully hard and throbbing is when the sense of urgency sets in. That is what he means by walking around with a loaded gun and only one bullet. You want to cum so bad but at the same time you don't because you know it will be brief.
This is an interesting exercise....

Wow, you and Carney really helped with your discriptions. I think I have a lot to work with now, but still want to hear more, becuse I just like hearing about it.
I'm a girl and know exacty what you mean by needing to cum so badly, but not wnting to, because it's so brief. It's such a tease.

my two cents

having a hard on grow between your legs is a feeling of sexual power. It's a wonderful feeling. It is your body reacting to sexual stimulation, and preparing for intercourse. It is, of course the opposite of a woman's vaginal secretions (getting "wet").
From my mind, it makes me feel like a man, and it is a feeling of sexual power which I imagine a woman feels a similar feeling of sexual power based on the reactions in her body, and her sexual organs.
I really didn't do the feeling justice, but there is my attempt. If I feel I can improve on it later, I will repost.
good luck and have fun

Yes, I am definitely longwinded

I think most of the people in this thread need to admit that they can not describe it. They try to use similes to describe it, but that brings a list of problems with first how the writer comes to the conclusion of using a specific simile, secondly how and why the writer interprets the simile they create, and then how the reader interprets the simile.

Women and men in general will not come to a similar consensus of what things feel like within their own sex, so how can you possibly describe it over the gender gap? I really do not think you can do so in an articulate or relatable way, especially using similes and metaphors. It would take a broad study of people who can do a decent job of articulating the sensations they feel, which would be very difficult to do.

I figure the best thing you can do is look for similarities between your own personal feelings and the person you are talking to. Additionally, you should keep it as broad as possible.

I am not trying to just nitpick at everything, but to try to clarify why a lot of these descriptions do not really help me, personally, to come to any conclusion. I get that a lot of you just wanted to come up with something that sounded good and you were not really attempting to do a studious example of descriptive medical literature, but posting with more of a poetic nature.

Also, I am just taking examples from the second page, as I am already typing a lot, so I feel like just being lazy in other ways.

'It makes me feel like a man.' - How can a woman relate to this? They can not.

'It's like I'm falling.' - What the hell does that even mean? Too many assumptions. It's trying for poetry and not really describing anything.

"But that is only for a few heartbeats. Then the warmth and the buzzing in the shaft begin. Like a million flies are swarming around the length and breadth of your tool, making the skin crawl and squirm. And you can feel the blood draining from all of your other organs to converge at the forefront of the action."

- How much of this is exaggeration for the sake of attempting to describe what's going on? Can you really feel the blood draining from your organs when only a minimal amount of blood is actually redirected? Making your skin crawl and squirm does not sound good, but it looks as if it was intended to. It is difficult to associate good feelings with what would be considered negative in a normal situation.

"Next come the stretching and the pressure. You can feel the shaft elongating, and the skin peeling back from the head. The pubic hairs at the base begin to untangle. The skin of the shaft becomes taut, stretched, strained until it is paper thin."

-This is far more descriptive than poetic, and does a good job as a result.

After taking the descriptive and throwing away the poetic, you still have to realize that another man would probably disagree with what they are feeling. Some have a sensitive ball sack, others do not get anything from it. Some enjoy prostate pressure, others hate even the idea.

I am writing a story and was wondering if anyone can specifically describe what getting a hard on feels like. Give me all the details you can, from it being soft, to growing firmer, thicker, longer, and fully erect, to rock hard.

Thanks.

I can't add to the getting hard descriptions that you already have. However I do remember telling a female friend that the best way for a woman to understan what it is like to be a teenage male, would be to walk around all day with a 6 inch cucumber in there pants. Having to shift it and adjust it to get comfortable. I remember clearly saying to her, " YOu do that for a day and tell me you're not horny!"

What's interesting to me is the amount of men who have said that they have hard ons whilst talking to a pretty girl. Most women won't notice it, I mean I still can't believe we don't notice more men with erections on a daily basis, since you seem to be having plenty of them.

Yeah i think you would be suprised at when and how we get an erection. Sometimes its the simplest look or a smell from a hot woman that sends the blood rushing.
