Hard Limits

We all say we won't do certain things, but I'd like to hear reasons why not. Don't be afraid -- let us know! Reason I ask is that recently, Master has me training with my own pee -- I have been peed on in the past, but never have taken a drink of it or tried my own. It's been very interesting, so I am curious what other peoples hard limits are. Have you ever been pushed to do them? If so, were you able to say no? If you did end up doing the task, how did it make you feel?

I am adding a poll to this too, to see what are the most common hard limits for folks out there.

we can only pick one, but for the record my disinterest in including animals clocks in only millimeters slightly under my interest in including children, I picked kids as the limit.

Certain kinds of breathplay are pretty damn near a hard limit for me, too.

Well, I put kids, too, cause that's the worst thing on the list, but I also won't do anything with animals, and poop and urine, or blood. Luckily those are also K's hard limits, so we're in agreement.

Kids, scat and blood are hard limits for me.

I find anything to do with breathe control a real challenge, even gags. May have something to do with having asthma.

Other than that, I may not like some things, but will not balk.

I don't think kids should be there at all.
It shouldn't be a limit, there should be no question of involving children in play, it's just not sane.


As for the limits I'd say most of them are limits for us, either of his choice or mine all but extreme pain.

I put no limits as that is what he is always reminding me I entered into of my own free will, so theoretically I have no limits except for those he sets for us. That being said, children is his absolute hard limit. I am allowed to present a reason why I may not want or be able to do something he asks of me, but the final decision whether to push me through it anyway is his.....and he has done so in the past and will no doubt in the future. Some on the list we have already done, some are possible for the future, others have been briefly discussed but are not planned at this point.

Ok I am going to answer in much the same way as Hajar did I don't think any of the first set listed below are limits as I do not think they are part of BDSM to begin with. My reason is they "clearly" fall outside SSC and therefore are not even on the radar. In the four listed below no "consent" can be obtained, which any "sane" person would deem appropriate, and the risk of STD's as well as the physical and psychological damage to the victums of forced sex...well its just not safe period.

Which basically leaves these as choice for hardlimits.

Blood
Intense Pain
Cutting/Marking/Branding

For me...I don't actually find any of these to be a "hard limit" except the eating of Scat. Scat is pretty much a turn off for me all the way around the bend period, but only the eating of it is where I draw hard limits.

As for the others...Already have done them at some level to myself. Though I do have some soft limits in place about some of them.

Just my opinion.

Edited to add: Drinking of urine is not as uncommon as it might seem. Though I am not sure of all the safety concerns

I remember seeing it in a good movie once..."Rob Roy". I recommend the movie as a good adult watch.

There is a seen in the movie where the bad guy gets up in the morning and after a heavy night of drinking, he relieves himself in a pot...which is then drunk by the steward.

cutting/blood play ( am just squeamish and have concerns about permanent scarring)

Soft Limits (meaning haven't tried it, may or may not be interested, but would do it, if it pleases my Master):

1.branding is interestong but the thought of such pain freaks me out (will be getting an ownership tattoo instead)
2.bestiality

*watersports was a soft limit at one time, as well as anal, and Master has taught me that they can be quite enjoyable.*

Part of the reason our relationship works so well is due to communicating when we met to be sure that our limits are compatible. Our hard limits are exactly the same, Master always has the final say & decides which soft limits to 'push' and when.

This poll really would have been better if it allowed for multiply selections of choices.

Very Hard Limits:

For the record, kids, fur bearing live critters, dead weird things, and traumatizing the uninvolved badly are all out.

Compression breathplay is out for now, I may rethink it I may never. Consider it red-orange alert.

Brown doesn't scare me nor appeal, yellow is sweet, "forced" fucking is midly interesting at best, and pain is good, to a point. I chicken out after a point.
