I remember my best summer solstice parties were spent while living up in the Yukon where the sun shines 24/7. Existentially, the day does not signal the longest day of the year, but the day in which the sun reaches it's highest point in the sky and marks the beginning of the long slow descent into 24/7 darkness. Let's just say you get extra drunk.
