Happy Birthday Princess

Well baby...

It was about 140 degrees.....the car wouldn't start....then the window wouldn't go up at Lion Country Safari so we couldn't drive through with your mom...AGAIN....It POURED thunder and lightning while the power was flickering on and off in the mall....the salesclerk finally had to throw my ass out of the shiatsu massage chair....We got soaked getting back into the car...then again getting to dinner...then again getting back into the car AFTER dinner...then we got to your moms and for the first time in almost two years, there was no place to park there....and of course, we got soaked...AGAIN...going into your moms....we had nicotine fits on and off all day.....heatstroke......but you know what?....I would not have wanted to spend this day ANYWHERE else on earth with ANYONE else.

I know this weekend didn't go as we had hoped, but I still have a very special birthday gift for you when you're ready for it. Thank you baby, for trying so hard today to smile through the anger at your grandmother and grief over Billy. Thank you for finding a way to emjoy the little moments today. Thank you for all the love you have shown me over the past two years. Thank you for all that you do for me every single day we are together. Thank you for worrying about me, taking care of me, and always always loving me more than any man has a right to be loved.

This was your last birthday as a single woman...and maybe the fact that so much went wrong only proves that you aren't SUPPOSED to be a single woman any more.
