Thanks! I know all you 'mercan cousins are busy cooking and using your ovens, but I'm still putting in my order for a :devil:'s food chocolate cake with whipped, ultrabuttery chocolate frosting and uhmmmm.. chocolate shavings on top? Birthday cakes are calorie free ;) if it's your day, don't ya know?

Silly woman, you! That was at a party in anticipation of the party that I'm planning to party on as soon as I get my knew ;) knee scar.
 
I'm sending out more thanks to all of you for these wishes for a happy day. I need one or two, since the year has really been full of challenges for my family. Both they and I keep continuing and have come out of it all a year older.

I love you all and I just want you to know that there is such a thing as too much food ... spatzle noodles, schwein steak Graf Dracule -- recipes originating in the Schwartzwald and Bavaria -- and finally, yes, you guessed it, Schwartzwald Kuchen... there oughta be a law. anyway -- I'll just roll myself ;) over there and put my feet up.
