Happy Birthday 4est!!!

I have used it nose-to-nose a time or two. I suspect my bulging eyes and bared fangs could have communicated the thought if I have used "daisy" as a substitute.

Mom's a trip. She takes pretty good care of herself. She's really pretty low maintenance.

I have only recently reconnected with my parents, then lost my Dad. Mom seems lonely so we talk more than we used to. Most people are rather impressed with Mom; she is bright as hell, articulate, funny. It was irritating to have people like her when she can be a little autocratic at home. All water under the bridge now.

I cannot imagine how it comes up in conversation (who asks a woman her age) but when it does come up, Mom tells them "I am 75 and 1/2" Implying that she is young enough to be eager about the next birthday.

On my Dad's side, my grandmother was a very young widow when my grandfather married her. She outlived him by 35 years.

Well, now I'm going to feel superstitious if the thread dies and someone here dies. I figure Rob has us in the dead pool doesn't he?

Redlines are a very nice touch.

They are, but I think I'd be more inclined to go with something more like what the auto-crossers are using. I'm shopping for tires for my old Dodge, and I'm thinking . . . drag radials.

Me thinks

This thread

Will outlive

Many of us

Who

POST:(

And, we can hope, many of those who don't. ;)

There are better dead pools out there.

But anything to feel meaningful, eh?

And, dare we say, relevant?
