Cheyenne said:Nope, I'm serious. He posted he was 19 in 1971 on his travelogue about picking up hitchhikers in East Germany. Assuming that trip was before the end of October, 1971, and combining the facts with his posts last night about celebrating his birthday this past weekend, Shadow is now 50 and AARP eligible.
I'm great with numbers and have an excellent memory for details. What can I say?

It's a well-kept secret that life after 40 is wildly wonderful. You finally have the moeny, time, and confidence - and you've stopped being embarassed by what you need and want - to go after the more exotic things you've not yet done, said, tasted, felt, seen, rolled in, made love to, etc. Life is grand after 40. Don't tell anyone i'm the one who spilled the proverbial beans though, okay?Myrrdin said:Proof that there is life after 40

Consider it a temporary truce for your birthday. However, you'll find I'm still the same nerd with the sharp pencil, ever watching and taking notes to cross reference.Unregistered said:
I'm a bit alarmed. I even found a gray hair Sunday morning. And yes, I did get a letter from the AARP, which freaked me out considerably. It didn't seem to offer anything I could use, except that they're fighting to save Social Security, which some know well is a concern of mine.
Thank you all for your kind wishes. Most of my friends don't know it was my birthday, and very few know which it was. Due to the issues of my onetime quickie to Magdeburg, I revealed it.
