Does anyone else think her mannerisms/speaking voice/tone/etc. are exceedingly annoying? I don't mind Miley as herself (not her t.v. characters), but I cannot stand that fucking Hannah Montana show. Do I just have really sensitive ears or something?

It can't just be me....

My very young daughter hates her.

Finds her just as annoying as you do.

:)

You are probably not her target demographic......Carney

My daughter loves her. You get used to all that crap after a while. You'll see.

Luna's kids watch it all the time...and I cannot get over her voice, and the annoying lines she has on there. I actually hate that show more with every episode. At first I didn't mind, but the more I hear her talk, the more I want to put my head through the wall. Lindsay Lohan's voice is the same thing, only hers is milder, so it's less grating.

The show that used to annoy the hell out of me was Dora the Explorer. OMG. My daughter hates it now too, but when she was like 2, 3, and 4, she LOVED Dora. It's horrible. Dora is always yelling, and it's very repetitive.

LOL! Dora doesn't bother me, personally, but I can see where it was annoying. We're on the same page, obviously. :D

Oh, my.

Dora is aimed at a younger demographic, I think. But I can still hear that song.

Dora, Dora, Dora, the Explorer!

My personal all-time favorite:

To play Blue's Clues we gotta find a... (paw print!)
A paw print, right! And that's our first... (clue!)
A clue? (A clue!)
Then we put it in our... (notebook!)
Cause they're Blue's Clues, Blue's Clues!
We gotta find another paw print, that's the second clue
We put it in our notebook
Cause they're whose clues? Blue's Clues!
We gotta find the last paw print, that's the third clue
Then we put it in our notebook
Cause they're Blue's Clues, Blue's Clues!
You know what to do!
We sit down in our Thinking Chair and think...think...think!
Cause when we use our mind, take a step at a time
We can do anything...that we wanna do!

I like it because they use real music in the songs. Any time I'm actually hearing decent writing/performing I'm happy because I know it will filter down to the kids (I have several that ask for Hannah Montana stuff). It's when they go to the samples that I get a headache. Honestly, I don't mind bad vocalists that much (some of our most famous acts were really bad vocalists).

How old is she in real life? i had her on my msn display picture till i realised she looked about 12.

She's 15. I know because when she took the pics of herself in her underwear, it popped up on the celeb sites with the disclaimer that we were all sickos for looking.

Youngest loved Blues Clues until Steve left, then he couldn't be bothered to watch it.

We just got a letter
We just got a letter
We just got a letter
Wonder who it's from.

:D

Heeeeeeeeere's the mail
It never fails
It makes me wanna wag my tail
And when it comes I wanna wail
MAIL!!!!

My daughter actually had a huge crush on Joe. She'd get all googly eyed and just stand in front of the TV grinning. When he'd sing at the end, "Thanks for doing your part. You sure are smart," and make the sign for thanks by touching his chin, she thought he was throwing her a kiss. She'd always, always throw him one back.

Uhhhh my middle sister loves Hanna Montanna (and she's about to turn 12...saaaad)

Youngest sister used to love Blues Clues :D

Now she loves Dora...fucking repetitiiiiiive sooooo annoying. ''I'm the map..I'm the map...I'm the map...I'm the map...I'm the map.....!!!!''

''Market...bridge...duck pond...Market...bridge...duck pond...Market...bridge...duck pond...Market...bridge...duck pond...Market...bridge...duck pond...''

GAHHHHH!!!!!!!

*i am done*

My nephew used to love Dora and Diego. They were really repetitive and annoying. This is one of the reasons I sequester myself in my bedroom whenever they are around ;)

Dora was awesome when my daughter was the right age. Just like Blues Clues, she'd stand in front of the TV and talk, figuring that they wouldn't be able to go on until they heard her. :D

Now it's ICarly. The show is moderately amusing so I can take it, but I was happier when she was watching Justice League and Godzilla movies.

My nephew has moved on to Marten Mysteries and Batman.

It was funny though. Dora and Diego are bi-lingual, so they taught my nephew a few words that his mother didn't understand. When he was asking for her to open a container for him, he was using the Spanish word for open, instead of asking her to open it. It took her a minute of watching his hand movements before she finally got it and opened the container ;)

That's what my Outlook Express plays when I have new messages (Steve's version)

I enjoy Blue's Clues although it did go seriously down-hill when Steve left.

I'm not a big fan of Miley Cyrus, but I don't let her upset my enjoyment of Hannah Montana the show -- it's a typical tween sit-com and no more annoying to me than any of a dozen other "Disney Original Series" or other cable programs aimed at tweens/teens and considerably less annoying than some.

Hannah Montana is tons better than Zoey 101, for example.
