Hey all,

I drove home, made it safe, but the strangest thing happened. All the skin on my hands started to peel off in chunks. Like when you peel from a bad sunburn, but thicker. The skin underneath is oozing blood. My mother bandaged them up and I am going to see the doc tomorrow, but i wondered if anyone had ever heard of anything like this before? They hurt, feel raw, & the bleeding won't stop. I'm kinda concerned. Any help would be appreciated.

:( So sorry, sweets. :rose: I've only had that on the tips of my fingers in the winter when the calluses crack and then won't heal. Nothing like you've just described.

Cyber kisses to help it feel better:

Wish I could offer more.

My hands used to do that. It was a seasonal allergy (so we were told) and I had to use prescription ointment on it. This wasn't fun, as it burned and was greasier than any crisco known to man but after a week or so it did the trick and I was back to new. Only thing was I had to continue using it and it drove me crazy trying to open doorknobs with my elbows.

Hope the doc fixes you up and it's nothing serious.

Hey Colleen. Sorry to hear that. :( Sound like an allergic reaction like mentioned before but I'm no Doc. I hope you'll be well soon and can fix that. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Snoopy,

Doc siad an allergic reaction. my hands are coated in some kinda slippery ointment. He said I should be fine in a week to ten days.

I'm glad to hear it. :) Hope the ointment helps the pain some, too.

Here's a little song for you and your hands.

If I could tell the world just one thing
It would be that we're all OK
And not to worry 'cause worry is wasteful
And useless in times like these

I won't be made useless
I won't be idle with despair
I'll gather myself around my faith
For light is the darkness most fear

My hands are small, I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
And I am never broken

Poverty stole your golden shoes
It didn't steal your laughter
And heartache came to visit me
But I knew it wasn't ever after
We'll fight, not out of spite
For someone must stand up for what's right
'Cause where there's a man who has no voice
There ours shall go singing

My hands are small I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
I am never broken

In the end only kindness matters
In the end only kindness matters
I will get down on my knees, and I will pray
I will get down on my knees, and I will pray
I will get down on my knees, and I will pray

My hands are small I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
And I am never broken

My hands are small I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
And I am never broken

We are never broken
We are God's eyes
God's hands
God's mind
We are God's eyes
God's hands
God's heart
We are God's eyes
God's hands
God's eyes
We are God's hands
We are God's hands

Glad the doc fixed you up. The slippery kind of sucks, huh? But it's gotta be better than the pain and bleeding. Get better soon, Colly.

Glad you're doing better Ms Colly, the fact that you're still typing to us is amazing in itself. Hope you heal quickly.
