After I wrote that monster moth story for the last contest, we've been invested with them. Little tiny buggers that lived in the pantry and have now moved into the kitchen cabinets. They seem to live in dog chow and starches, like flour, rice, breakfast cereal. They're impossible to get rid of.

They are impossible... put all your dry goods in the freezer. ALL of them. I've known them to chew through Tupperware... believe it or not. They're horrendous little pests...

They sure didn't wait on me. For quite a while, the score was just above 3.00 then it started creeping upward to 3.75 and a sweep removed almost half the votes and raised the score to 4.15. Since then it has meandered to just over 4.20 and stayed there.

It's sort of like getting an E... it paints a big ass target on what ever you submitted. My E Poem has never had more than a score of 4. Of course it might help if I went back and corrected one spelling error... but hell, someday.

I don't think there has been a trolls sweep in two days or so.....

but I know that they have been out.... they are always out
always out to destroy something that they cannot do

they don't write
they don't actually comment
they don't send constructive feedback
all they do is go through stories and tank them one by one
they pick ones that are in the spot light and being in a contest puts them all right at center stage

these are the people that have NOTHING better to do them to tear other people down

people can make themselves feel better one of two ways.... building themselves up or tearing others down and trolls firmly sit on the second one

Actually, that's not quite correct. It started out very low, a threat to win the booby prize. Then it slowly crept up till it is now just above 4.00. So it never plummeted because it was never high enough to plummet.

Yep, pretty much. When my story took third place last year, I think it was at 4.7something, with 50+ votes. Within hours, it was below 4.5, and it still hasn't really recovered, although it's at a very respectable 4.56 right now.

I don't think there's a lot of hope for my entry- it's not erotic, and not super involved and although it takes place on devil's night, it doesn't have a superstrong Halloween theme. It's really short to- so that gives people who don't like it a chance to read it to the end and vote -lol.

But I think it's interesting. And I"m happy because it's my Magic In America chain story entry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I finally finished it, and it even worked well for the contest. So at least it will get read and I'll get some feedback on it

After having produced nothing for months and months, I've posted two stories in the past week- I'm so proud. One's complete smut and the other has no sexual content!! But the smutty one is controversial (interriacial/nonconsent) and not rating well, but like ogg, I don't care. I wrote the story I wanted to write and that's what matters.

Now that I come to think of it, Halloween is the time for those stories that are a little different from the norm. At least that's a trend I see most years. Halloween is THE time for experimenting. We'll see.

That is pretty much akin to being hit with a one-bomb if a new story gets high on the top list. When that happens, the trolls jump on it to knock it down again. Who knows why they do this.

There appears to have been another sweep. My vote total decreased by one and the score increased by .05. No big deal.
