is it just me, or are there WAY more entries in this contest than usual?
I could probably tell you, but I'd have to know the scores, number of votes, etc. It may be that some have been added, and then some have been swept.

Judging from past
years, it will be "Winter Holidays" which would include Christmas, New Years, Kwanzaa and Chanukkah (I'm not sure of some of those spellings) but I think it does not include Thanksgiving Day.

I've never had them set a description; I always beat my brains out trying to make one. If only I'd known!
One thing I realized the other day is that every 'E' I have had has been changed in some way. Two were kicked back for formatting changes, and for the other they changed the category (to one with a much larger readership). It's quite nice in a way. It's like they seemed to have liked the stories and wanted to make sure that they were presented to their best advantage. It's become the most hopeful of omens to me, now; when they sent "Will" back because some of the paragraphs were too long, I was halfway to elation already. Part of me knew; the rest was afraid to believe it.

Phew. Made it through several more tonight. I think I'd best stop, though. The world is turning into one long story about teenagers, night time, and ghosty people.

They tend to tone down the description, for instance, I wanted it to say "She loves it when I eat her pussy" and they dropped the last word and changed it to third person. They seem to prefer third person, even when the story is in first. A few times the category has been changed too, sometimes a good thing and sometimes not.

I thik it's pretty pedestrian compared to some of the works I've read. Lot of people really went to the mat with theirs and the quality overall is a bit humbling.

I've finished about twenty, mainly AH regulars. Saved the best for last which means Colly's story. Definite five bait.
I couldn't resist taking another shot at last place and submitted a very short Romance (1100 words) with no sex, little about Halloween, and except for what I do to good taste and English letters, no violence or horror. That should equate to no hope. Although it'll have to do some humping to under perform my last contest entry (4.23).
