The Medium holding the seance warns her guests to hold hands, to maintain the circle, but one of them, a young bride is freaked out, breaks the circle and is immediately possessed by one of the spirits, as the rest hold hands, maintaining the circle.

I pictured the characters as being somewhat pious, uptight & somewhat cynical of the proceedings, at first.

Also, I figured the possession would be permanent, with the guests being trapped in their own bodies and powerless to stop the spirits using them as sexual puppets.

Probably, but this was just a first draft of a first draft of a possible story; I was n't really fixating on specific words; it was more about brainstorming.
