I just had to tell someone , today skitten and I will be tailgating hard at the Jimmy Buffet show here in Pittsburgh.
We spent last night getting shit ready we have cooler full of all kinds of drinks and beer and even food too.
I have never been to a Buffet show and friends tell me I'm in for a treat , the sun is shining and no rain is in sight.
I plan to enjoy the day and the show get all kinds of sun and party late with my wonderful wife who I don't get to go out with much because of kids but there at grams for the weekend.

Well MM, this was my first Buffett show and It was everything I thought it would be. There was a huge amount of tailgating going on (we did our fiar share too) Folks brought palm trees and the whole deal.
Going to a Buffett show is alot like a freak show....Which is COOL I'm one of those freaks too. People are all doing there own thing and not caring what the others think, I like that ...why be normal .
So anyhow the show was great and I don't care for Clint Black but somehow he showed up to play with the band and was cool at it.
This was something that everone should go to at least once , I enjoyed it met alot of cool folks partying there.

Hey Wizard, I'm glad you had a lot of fun. Got a question. How loud was the music? We had a river fest here about a month ago, with a couple of well known country bands. I didn't enjoy them very much because the music was so loud, it became distorted and hurt my ears so much that I had to leave. Are most concerts like that?

April, It was very loud but not quite unbearable, However there was an ASSHOLE right behind us with a coaches whistle that I about knocked down his throat!!! That got old real quick.

Sorry to be so english, but what the hell is a "Buffet Show". I'm hoping its not some kind of mass food orgy.

Hello Flagg, I'll give you my version of what one is but I'm not a die hard fan but here goes.
Jimmy Buffett is a singer who has been touring for at least 30 years doing Island music he has a cult following like the greatful dead did years ago. When you go to a show you have to dress with a loud shirt like a Hawaian shirt, girls had coconuts on for bras, grass skirts, straw hats the whole deal . We took palm trees with us(fake ones nothing like that around here)The main drink is of coase Margarita's and Corona beer with lime. They also took baby pools and filled them there. All and all this is a great big party everone gets there way way before the show and party's till the show and then after the show we do it all again.
I am not a big Buffett fan myself but I had always been told that I had to go to one and so I did at 50.00 Bucks a ticket(US) I hoped it would be good and it was one wild time.

I hope that helps out a bit.
I also forgot to say that the folks that are intp Buffett are called parot heads.
If anyone else can explaine it better jump right in , I'm new to this myself.

MM , lol no I was cool with him , he was pushing it but I understand he was into it and he didn't fuck with me of the old lady so why start shit?....I just tried to tune him out. I mean tried too!!!


If anyone has a chance to catch him do it !!! It will be a once in a life time show onsatge and off satge.
