Col. David Hackworth died. Amazing man. One of my personal heroes. Resquiescat.

"When I am dead, cry for me a little. Think of me sometimes, but not too much. It is not good for you to dwell too long. Think of me now and again as I was in life, at some moment which is pleasant to recall, but not for long. Leave me in peace as I shall leave you, too, in peace."

I had never heard of him before, Cant.

And now I'm very sorry I hadn't.

Rest in peace, Colonel. We'll carry on the fight.

:rose:

That made me cry.

I was corresponding with Colonel David H. Hackworth until shortly before his death. The man was a giant. He was a soldier's soldier. He was never concerned with appearances, he was always concerned with the warriors on the ground. He will be missed.
