Guys in thong swinsuits. Yes or no?

The general concensus seems to be that a) thongs are gay b) women don't like thongs on men.

I wonder if gay men like thongs on other men.

yummymum

i love men's bodies, particularly their cocks, but thongs are wrong on men and should only be worn with lots of gold chains, hair weaves and bad self tanners. now a man wearing my thong for just a few seconds....

its probably the same in the gay community, as it is in the straight world, meaning, if the guy is fat and probably shouldnt be wearing one, its a turn off. If the dude is sporting a six pack, tight ass, oh baby!!! See what im saying?

Yeah, I see what you're saying. But for me, and I think a lot of women, even a buff guy in a thong is, as Lizaveta said, icky.

interesting

Well, there have been some very thought provoking comments on this thread and I appreciate all the great posts. I don't think I'll quit wearing thongs, but I might wear my "square cut" shorts suits more often.

It's interesting to me how the trends have changed. When I first started wearing thongs and speedos as a teenager, it was the older people who were more likely to accept it. Now it seems like the older people can't tolerate them, but younger people now accept them more.

It's also interesting how conservative this site seems to have become, and how an open-minded sexual discussion forum can be so "homophobic." Why is calling someone gay used as an insult? You wouldn't call someone a certain race, religion, gender, etc and use it like an insult...would you?

And finally, it's interesting what a double standard still exists between men's and women's sexual expression and ways of dressing. A woman can wear a butt floss bikini and it's accepted, yet people are threatened by a guy in one. Regardless of personal preference, the double standard should be resented by both men and women, I would think. Guys expect women to dress sexually provocatively, but men are ridiculed for it.

Women, do you really prefer guys in baggy knee length shorts? Maybe you don't like men in thongs, but surely not the other extreme. Men, are you really so afraid people will think you are gay if you reveal your thighs? Seems kind of insecure.

My girlfriend always says if guys expect girls to prance around in string bikinis, they should be willing to show it off for the girls in return.

I still enjoy wearing my thongs. I know some of you guys want to wear them, and some of you gals want to see them.

I hope the girls will keep wearing thongs too.

Can't we just all get along?

I don't want to see women in thongs, either. I'm equal opportunity about the ick.

I don't feel at all threatened by a man in a thong, I just think it is repulsive. Even with a perfect body it just doesn't look right to me ... it does nothing to accent the male shape. Gay guys seem to get away with it but they are trying to attract men and I think most women like a little more left to the imagination. If I were you I'd stick to the boxer brief style ... it is sexy instead of funny and it accents the male shape very nicely. Isn't that what sex appeal is all about anyway? Accenting the shape of the body?

Love the thong, hate the sunglasses.

This board is made up of a lot of Americans, and as I've learned, they tend to have body issues/hangups.

I think thongs are very comfortable, but I understand that I don't have the body to wear them. Obviously, you do, and there will be NO complaints from my little corner of the beach when you go strolling by. Now the old guy with the raisinettes and the beer gut, on the other hand, has no business wearing such a thing.

Bottom line, swimsuits usually involve water, and the water is usually colder than your body temperature. Cool water causes shrinkage. If you're cool with that, more power to you. I have no problem with the thong.

Besides, why wear a swimsuit when you can go au naturale?

I don't want to see any of the guys I know in a thong. Unless, you know, I'm wearing it and they pull it to the side and...

yeah, none of the guys I know should be in a thong.

Thongs are too girly for me. I like to see my man dressed like a man. But I also like my men to be really manly. I want an alpha male.

Bravo! BRAVO! I could not have said this any better myself. It's all about personal preferences, and while they may never be the same as someone else's, they still need to be respected.

Huskie, calling someone gay is only offensive when it comes from someone who is as ignorant as you.
