Just thought I would chime in on this one. I don't usually wear one other than to enhance solo play. Originally I had purchased and I still have and use Silicone "O" rings. 1 7/8 inch ID. One works OK two or three work better.
If I don't feel line getting my junk through those, I will use a 1/2 inch wide nylon cat collar with several holes for the buckle depending on how tight I want it. When one is finished with his activity, it is easily removed.

You are of course entitled to your opinion. I have to say, though, that my use of cock rings enhances the experience of both of us (and my woman has posted about her positive experiences here on Lit). My experience with what is goin' on with these things was expressed. I don't think Simon was just asking for experiences that mirrored his own. If he was, he would have stated something like, "Guys, Gals, tell me all the great things about cockrings. GO."
