And now for a serious reply. In the 90s, when Yahoo had chat rooms and E-groups they also had a (FREE) Personals section. I was in my late teens/early twenties and was looking for women around my age. They had to be local, and I posted my ad within a F4F channel for my state and city.

For every reply I received from a woman, I received ten from men. As if that hadn't been annoying enough, most of those men also lived in other states. It's like, even if I "changed my mind" and gave one of them a shot, were they going to drive 600+ miles to meet me?

Le sigh. It's life. Especially on the Net.
