Guess!!!

Have you turned around and looked at your backside in the mirror? That's a rather provocative shade of red you're sporting back there, Tom.

They're a pretty talented group of fellas.

Holy crap--I look like a mandrill--well that explains that--I guess. Is there interspecies mating among primates?

So where are all the great books then?;)

Who do you think writes about half those stories in "Loving Wives" and all the anonymous comments?

Update

She's back this morning. I need to buy some peacock chow...

I wonder where you can find it :D

Peafowl are just big pheasants, that is to say overized chickens. The first thing she will do is dig holes in your back lawn. Cracked corn will be a treat. Then she will start bringing her friends and their boyfriends. The boys will roost in the trees behind your house and start screaming . . . around 3:00 a.m. Eventually you will begin to understand why no one is neutral around peafowl. ;)

Fortunately I have chickens and lots of cracked corn. Our chickens eat dogfood much of the time and then whatever scraps we toss out for them. She doesn't seem too fond of generic Cheerios, though.

You seem very knowledgeable and yet bitter about peafowl, VM. Sorry to dredge up bad memories.

I just don't want to talk about it, at all. It was so humiliating. Damned peacocks!

You named it?

Of course. All the critters have names.

I think somebody just scribbled "Gloria" on the outside of her bubble. Probably somewhere else (probably a lot of other places given the picture), someone has written "wash me!"

Hey! I have a very clean and tidy bubble. It sparkles all the time.

Do you want me to send out the Flying Monkeys, sweetie? They had so much fun with Tom the other night...

Oh, you poor, poor baby! Of course you don't have to talk about those mean ol' peacocks any more.

Gloria seems to be quite calm and very, very intrigued with one of the cats. They spent most of the day looking at each other through the screen in the kitchen window.

You better listen to the good little witch, Sweeny Todd. Or you'll be sporting a pair of hot cross buns like me. ;)

I'm getting better tho.

Update and an Apology

Female peafowl do indeed make noise. Gloria woke me up at 5:30 this morning. She was beside my bedroom window honking a bicycle horn covered in tissue paper and Ca-Yawing. Not as loud or as annoying as her male counterparts, but shortly after dawn "annoying" doesn't require much.

My sincere apologies to VM for belittling his traumatic experience at Boy Scout Camp. I'm so sorry, Mr. Bear.
