Guess!!!

I have it! A hornets nest. :D

(What do you mean there's no prize for guessing right? Waiter! Check please! )

Now where the heck is that sweet little witch... Tom have her tied up somewhere... wish she'd tell us.

She came back late this afternoon, too.

And from this evening through the screen door:

Thank you all for playing.

A  from the good little witch.

glynndah--sweetie--you have to step out of the bubble to take pictures.

That's a cool bird tho. What the heck is a peahen doin' outside a theme park or a zoo? Can the cock be far behind?

Thank goodness I got my guess in just in time.

A peahen.

Cheating? What do you mean cheating??? I'm shocked to be so, um, rightly accused.

I don't particle and tell.

And glynndah, that's pretty cool. A peacock would be cooler though. :cattail:

We're kinda hoping she hangs around and she's got fertile eggs, too. And yes, a peacock would be much cooler. Maybe that's tomorrow morning's surprise.

Every time I opened the screen door, she sauntered away. I have no idea where she came from. As far as I know, none of our neighbors have them. And the closest zoo or park is about 100 miles away.

Peafowl are like coconut. Nobody is neutral. Either "true love" or utter disgust, nothing in between.

Sorry, Kimmy, but my vendetta against peafowl goes clear back to Boy Scout days. Being kept awake by the blamed things does terrible things to a young boys attitude.

I think the males are the ones that shriek all night. She's been quite quiet.

And, you actually expected to sleep?

Thank goodness I got my guess in just in time.

Oh, I'm sure you wouldn't dream of such a thing. I'll look for your prize. Surely I have something appropriate...

Oh, yes. Here it is. Display it with pride, please.

Yep. The males make the shrieking noise. We had peacocks in our school. We could hear them when we went to Urdu class. :)

Please tell the bear that before he storms my porch and Gloria with his pellet gun. Thank you.

Yes, thank you. I think so, especially if he remembers what happened to Tom...

A  from the good little witch.

Only the males shriek? I never knew that. However, can you really expect Gloria to remain celebate? Good luck with that, Glynndah, here in SoCal the pro and anti- peafowl camps have been at war for generations. At least none live near me.

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Damn straight! I'm still sitting on one of them rubber rings. :p

But I received two rather provocative e-mails from those monkeys.

Have you turned around and looked at your backside in the mirror? That's a rather provocative shade of red you're sporting back there, Tom.

Maybe her mate'll be here tomorrow. I have no idea where she came from. We've had the windows open and I know we'd've heard that screaming.

Somehow I didn't think it encompassed pinfeathered primates.

Who knew they could type?
They're a pretty talented group of fellas.
