What's the "Group Memberships" thing in my profile? What are group memberships?

It is an option that can be activated by the administrators of the board. I am on another forum that uses the same software. Think of the groups as a private forum that only certain members are granted permission to.

If there was a group titled Cumwhores, then only members of that group could see that subforum along with the threads and posts. If you were not a member, you wouldn't be able to see any of it, not even the title of the subforum.

Although that option can also be disabled so the group can be publicly seen, but the posts inside can't be read.

Well, I'm a moderator of another forum, and I know the administrators are all in one group, moderators in another, and then there's regular users.

It's used to grant permissions, like the ability to delete, ban, move threads, etc. to users in the group; whatever the system adminstrator has set up.

I would assume, despite the different forum software, it's used similarly here where the mods are in a group and the admins or owners are in another.

It can be set up for non-mod/non-admin users to use, and even where the users can create their own groups. However, it is not set up to be used on this forum. One of the other forums I am on, I belong to 5 or 6 different groups, and they were set up by the users.

To bad, groups would be a good thing.

Honestly it would probably kill the forum. The gender disparity here is too great. All the public threads would just be a giant sausage fest (even moreso than they are now) because the douchecanoe guys on here would drive all you women to create private groups and you would all hang out there.
