You mean Que-nager pontificated without knowledge of all the facts...well, color me surprised.![]()
Absolutely astonishing how often that happens, no?

It's wonderful.
The clown on the radio just replayed Greta's hysterical United Nations raving again.
It really is the funniest thing I've heard all day.
Anybody who isn't actually insane will immediately realize that dear Greta is not playing with a full deck.
It's hilarious.
Because the gardens are feeding the larger grid, MMP sees absolutely no difference in the quality or availability of power for operations.
The plant has the only microwave-powered foundry sand reclaimer in the country, in partnership with M-Wave Foundry Technologies, a prototype that has been testing sands for foundries across the country.
with molten metal capacity of about 2,800 lbs. per heat. The melting capacity ultimately governs the sizes of the castings, from a few pounds up to 1,100 lbs. in steels, and 1,800 lbs. in irons. Molding is accomplished on three air-set lines arranged according to the size and volume of the cast parts that each one makes. MMP is a low- to medium-volume shop, making some parts once every few years, as well as some parts in volumes as high as 15,000 per year.
Oh look, here's another one.What a "win."
An accounting gimmick:
They signed up to "get" their power from solar by paying to essentially sponsor a portion of five solar projects (heavily subsidized by the Feds as all such projects are.) They actually receive power as needed, when needed from the grid. Their use of power which is actually primarily generated by fossil fuel facilities is offset by the solar credits. There aren't solar panels on the roof turning on to zap this foundries iron.
Speaking of "zap" this is the only place in the country that has:
. . .and melts a whopping:
They are making small, cast parts; they aren't rolling I-beams.
So I was wrong. It is incorrect that *no* foundry is *run* on "solar power." In the US, one, and only one foundry participates in a solar generation scheme that results in their full power bill from the local utility going towards power generation by solar when solar is available to be generated and delivered to whomever needs solar when it is actually being generated.
Isn't googling for confirmation bias a wonderful tool for repudiating absolute statements which are *always* wrong in at least one singular case?
While the exact design is not known at this time, with the kinds of PV modules typically deployed at large-scale plants in the 300-420 watt range, this means as many as 800,000 solar panels. However, unlike other solar projects of this scale, Xcel filings suggest that this one will feed Rocky Mountain Steel directly and will be under the state’s net metering statute.
This is more than an order of magnitude larger than the largest net-metered solar facility that pv magazine has heard of to date. Many states have limits on the capacity of projects that can qualify for net metering, but in Colorado this is expressed as a percentage of the customer’s demand, leaving open the possibility of enormous projects for large electricity consumers.
Fantastic! Now do solar powered mining trucks!
As per previous article, they are evidently not melting steel with electricity. They are using it for lights and electric on site machinery.
How could I possibly be so "wrong" about the feasibility of melting steel with solar?!??
Can "solar powered" rockets be far behind?
In th theory you actually can (and may already...Quick! Google!) Make solar powered fertilizer, maybe explosives.
How about a solar powered Saran Wrap plant?
How is it even possible this expert is not running a multinational energy corporation, or leading think tanks and shaping policy?
Why is this genius going to waste, driving cab and living a hand-to-mouth existence?
Damn you, Obama!![]()
Here you go:

The claim is that it doesn't need to be recharged. But if it did, no reason why it couldn't be adapted to a solar power station.

Greta is more intelligent than the most of world and nations "leaders". Her emotional behaviour patterns and her life circumstances allow her to focus on the issue at hand.
The tragic is that peoples' hope for a political change is not justified. Demos, arguments, speeches, publications, media can make governed people think, and can force companies and states to perform symbolic gestures and a better marketing, but they do not influence the real politics. Money and power are the oldest couple, they will never seriously argue nor divorce, and only this couple rules.
Bashing Greta is part of the marketing as above. Embracing her, i.e., "the enemy", by applauding her is just a variant of bashing. Only standing by her side and saying the truth is real and honest. I don't give a shit on whatever you call her, and I hope for her she doesn't as well.
What absolute nonsense. She's nothing but a stalking-horse.
You put up a child to make the same retarded arguments that Frodo has been making here for years, and insist that everyone bow to her wisdom that isn't wisdom when Frodo spouts the same nonsense. The only thing you got right here is that the entire thing is an emotional appeal. The idea is that you don't like children if you don't agree with a child's point of view.
If that's the best you can do to advance your argument your argument has no weight whatsoever.
I hear some noise but it does not make sense.
Can't help you. Sounds like you need either an audiologist or a neurologist.
Thanks for so clearly illustrating my point though those of your ilk are incapable of meaningful rhetorical argument. It's not just this particular subject which obviously you don't know anything about or you wouldn't be applauding this completely uninformed child but I'm sure it's on every subject that you disagree with anyone. You're an able to express yourself in a way that makes your position clear and has any possibility of being persuasive.
People are horrible.
