Hello. i am new to this bulletin board system, but not new to Literotica. i've been a long time fan of the writings i have read here. (Especially BDSM and Fetish.) Currently i have submitted four poems to Literotica. i hope that they will be accepted soon. i plan on submitting a lot more if these go off well. (Possibly some of my real life experiences in the near future?)

Anyway, i wanted to introduce myself here. Once i found a BDSM forum i knew this would be my hangout! :D

Take care...

hopelessromanticsub,

Welcome to Lit. There are lots of great people here with tons of knowledge. Feel free to jump in and ask any questions you might have. And good luck on your poems...let us know when they are approved.

Welcome, hopelessromanticsub. I'm glad you found a place to feel at home.

I noticed you follow the capitalization conventions seen in some chatrooms. I just wanted to let you know that isn't a common sight here - we tend not to stand on such formalities. Recently, a thread called Ettiquete ... CaPitaLIzaTION discussed this, and many expressed the opinion that they didn't like seeing the slash-splitting (I'm in that camp), while others said they didn't care one way or the other. I think most of us understand the use, but we don't usually practice it here.

Again, welcome to the group! I look forward to reading your posts. :rose:

Welcome aboard

we use to have a thread where new people came in to introduce themselves but .........

anyway
I also am a hopeless romantic

Welcome! Feel free to jump right in and join in the general hubbub.

Thank Y/you Etoile, Richard, and FungiUg for the welcome. :) i hope i don't bug too many people with the slash thing. Old habbits die hard.

P.S.
Ignore this pic if Y/you want. i just need a web location for it.

I'm getting to the point where I can almost ignore it now. Don't worry too much about it, although you may get the occasional snide remark.

Even I usually let it go, except in the thread I mentioned. I just figured I'd warn the newbie. :)

Very fair of you, Etoile. It used to bug the hell out of me too.

Hey, am I stalking you, or are you stalking me? :D

From some of us you will not even get a snide remark

If you have a Dom do as they say
If you do not do as you were trained
till you find a new Dom

Presumably you're including training by a schoolteacher, right?

i always thought they were the same thing? my bad. i've seen this symbol on many BDSM sites.
I dunno. BDSM and leather are definitely not the same thing, though, so you will probably find adherents of each who will insist that it's for their preference alone. Personally, I think of it as the leather flag.

*chuckle* I did english up to the University level... so I had more than a few problems with the whole change to the language in the chat rooms. But then, texting is even worse!

Any healthy language is dynamic and changes... even if not in ways we like.

Aaaargh, don't get me started! (Oh, and I think you're stalking me. ;) )

I'm ok with capitalization most times, just run ons, fragments and various other ways of butchering a sentence that I need a LOT of help with lol. I'm an English teachers nightmare with my spelling errors and basic write as you think it sentences. :)

I deliberately try to write "down"... try to make my language more conversational when I write. Because other wise I end up sounding terriby formal. But I also like to inject humour, and that requires a change to my writing as well. (pulls out the 4" long humour injecting needle...)

Actually, I know exactly what you mean about writing "down." I practice it more in real-time chat rooms than I do on message boards, but I do try to keep things more conversational than I would for, say, a journalistic article or even just an essay on my own site.

Hi hopelessromanticsub,

Welcome to our Community. I just wanted to drop by your thread and let you know about our wonderful BDSM Library. It's located on the BDSM Talk Board and it contains hundreds of threads divided by several different categories. You'll find threads from Breast Play to Wax and Fire Play and LOTS of stuff in between. Be sure to check out Wizard's Link thread in the "Links" category. It contains links to many lifestyle web sites that our friend Wizard keeps current.

If you have any questions or comments about the Library, feel free to PM me :)

I look forward to getting to know you through your posts :rose:
