ABC News/Ipsos survey: Biden's job approval rating still sinking

cant get below zero and its almost there:D

Slow joe went on Jimmy Fallon to boost his deservedly lousy rating. Problem is, no one watches Fallon and the few dozen that do are already gulping the Dem Kool-Aid.

Yeah. Not a big believer in polls, but this ABC offering
is just damning. I'm not Trump! has worn off
and underneath that thin veneer lies
the same old incompetent boob.

:(

The only thing saving him from the 25th
is that Veep Harris is viewed even
more negatively.

If the true idiots didn't want Trump back in office,
they would have picked somebody else.
ANYBODY else...

To go with anybody else in 2024,
will be an admission of
systemic failure on
the part of the
(D) Party.

I'm not sure I understand why you think that Biden will be able to run effectively in 2024? Regardless of political affiliation, I believe if you look at him performance as President objectively, clearly he's has some cognitive deterioration -- and it's so bad, that he has his physician wife out on the road issuing denials. Biden is now older than Reagan was when he LEFT office, and so even if he tries for the nomination, I really can't see him regaining the confidence of the American people that he is cognitively fit to be President. It is clear that his "handlers" whomever they are -- are being careful to keep him on script, and not to expose him to too much unsupervised interaction with the press.

As for the 2024 nomination, I don't think Bernie will be an issue in 2024, as he will have the same age problem as Biden does. Harris has a public image problem similar to, or worse than, Dan Quayle had when he was Vice President. I don't think anyone from the so called "Progressive" wing of the party, has much of shot -- particularly if the country thinks the progressive ideas are a bit too radical for them, as they demonstrated in the Virginia and New Jersey governor's races, not to mention the mayoral race in Buffalo. In fact, I think the Progressive wing has done a lot of damage to the moderates in congress since they seem to get more press for no apparent reason.

So .. if the Democratic party wants to retain the Presidency in 2024, I personally think it will have to be with a non-progressive Democrat from a state that is between the Appalachian and Rocky Mountains. I'm not sure that can happen, I think the progressive caucus present a similar problem for the Democrats as the "Tea Party" did for Republicans. At this stage, I don't see a candidate that could "unify" the party the way that Biden's candidacy did, but I could be wrong.

Chuck Todd blames Trump and COVID for Biden’s numbers. He could appear on live TV, drop trou and moon the camera and they’d blame climate change.

I'm kind of an empiricist .. can you enumerate the things you think are better?

Is your opinion based on perception / feeling, or there are some specific tangible / measurable things that make this administration better?

First of all, I'm not talking from personal perspective in my comment - the polls are trending higher since Nov 19, objectively and I provided the links.

As for your question - approvals aren't talking about a comparison, so I won't speak (much) to that.

I appreciate the major legislation that has been advanced.
I like the EOs being focused on climate change and I appreciate that our relationship with trusted allies has been repaired from the previous administration - and I don't mean to compare there....our relationship was bruised for sure and Biden has made great strides to repair that.

Messaging as always is shit from the CDC to the Congress to the military. I believe Democratic administrations are less tight lipped than Republicans which lead to mixed messaging. That's not a Biden thing as much as a Democrat thing, but certainly I'd appreciate that improving in leaps and bounds.

I think the Fed needs to be more aggressive on inflation, though I also appreciate their independence from the administration, so not sure I fault Biden here.

I like that the state department and diplomacy has a priority focus. Getting ambassadors into positions that have been vacant for too long is important. I just wish Ted Cruz would get the memo.

Wouldn't survive the primaries.

The Democrat Party is the Party of the coasts
and as such is the party of Hollywood and the MSM...

If his numbers are improving, it is marginal, almost within the bounds of error...

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/biden-approval-rating/

He's still underwater any way you want to slice it.

The OP's position is that approval is dropping (and every post since Nov 19 has said the same)

It is incorrect as aggregate has shown an increase.

Is he net disapproval still? certainly.

Is his approval rating similar to the previous administration? Basically

It is not the worst ever and it is not declining.
