Grape Soda

Okay,
I was just watching the second Harold and Kumar, and they brought up the Grape soda and Black people myth....I've heard little cracks at this all my life and I am curious.

Now would someone please tell me where this originated from? How did this ...association get started?

Anyone know ANYTHING about this??

Husband says: "We do enjoy our grape soda!" He also suggested I title this thread something I would likely never live down if I said it on here or in public....why does he try to get me to say it?!

i"m guessing the reality of it is is many were on low income and so they had treats and then some idiot associated it with them and called them on it from then on . But seriously...I got a lesson bout ribs. lets see if we can get Orochii in here....

I was working an event at my old college a year or so ago, and I found grape Crush in bottles in the vending machine. I went nuts! I had about three of those suckers that day.

Hello Snuggle_bunz, I am from Aussie, What Grape soda brings to mind is old Radar from the T.V. show Mash. All ways drinking Grape kneehighs on the show. When I was I korea a few years ago I found it over there and tried it, Loved the taste so drank quite a few while I was there. I throught I was white but if drinking it makes one Ebony then hey Ebony I must be,lol.

I'm trying to find the origin of the association....I didnt say all black people like it and i didnt say liking it made you black. Argh...none of my threads ever work...
