i think this is a fun little thing to do... it's an exercise i have to do for my creative writing class but i think it would be a neat thing to share here on the board.

this is a "if i were a _____, i'd be a _____ because ______" type of thing (eg: if i were a tree i'd be a willow because i have a large root.) for this exercise it's important to focus on who you are as opposed to what you like, got it?

Flower: Phalenopsis Orchid because I am a sturdy, tough, easy to nurish plant, that looks delicate and fragile and difficult to care for on the outside.
Tree: Ginko biloba (Maidenhair tree), because it is a fucking rad tree.

Country: USA..... has a little bit of everything and a lot of the good stuff.
Body of water: Mediterrainian Ocean..... warm, inviting, and well, you want to vacation with me and visit my costal waters.

If i were an article of clothing i think i'd spend half my time as comfy, well-worn, cotton granny undies because i'm a comfy, normal, cotton kinda woman - and the other half of the time, i'd be full fetish drag, baby, black leather, high heels, gloves, and nipple clamps because the wildly uninhibited masosub inside that getup, too, is who i am.

If I were a flower, I'd be a lily because they're beautiful when they're closed and more especially when they're in full bloom.

If I were a tree, I'd be an oak tree because it's big and sturdy and provides a lot of shade.

If I were a color, I'd be red because I'm fiery, feisty and bold. Strange though because my favorite color is blue. LOL... go figure.

If I were food, I'd be coffee because I'm good either hot or cold... plus, coffee is comforting and this is something that I aim to be.

If I were a country, I'd be China, because of it's exotic beauty and history.

If I were a figure from history, well, I don't know... I'd like to be Princess Diana (don't know if she's *history* enough) because even though she was shy and demure, she had the bravery to go after her happiness and stand up for what she believed in.

Flower: Would have to be a Forget me not - it is small and blue, a shy flower that hides in the shadows. It is very pretty in it's own way but tends to get overlooked in favor of bigger more showy blooms.

Tree: Weeping willow - Tall, graceful, vulnerable to elements and needs a great deal of water (love)

Color: Deep purple - mysterious and dark, but in the right conditions vibrant

Food: Chinese - at it's best in lots of small portions. Exotic but somehow comfortingly familiar

Country: England - At it's best in the sunshine but has a great many cloudy days.

Body of water: The dead sea - can support just about anything/one else (due to the high salt content the dead sea is very buoyant) - but the sea itself tends to be lifeless

Figure from history: Eve - easily tempted

Porcelain figurine: A black cat curled up asleep - some of my friends consider me to be lucky, but I am also very lazy and happiest curled in the sun. I also think cats are the best creatures on the planet, aloof yet loving, but on their own terms.

Article of clothing: Suspender belt - sexy, delicate but of no real use and damn uncomfy to have on for long.

Color: Green, tranquil and peaceful, yet full of life and energy

Food: Cinnamon toast, a little sweet, a little spice

Country: Canada. Everyone knows I am there ... just not very exciting.

Body of water: A bubbling stream. Fun to splash and play in.

Porcelain figurine: A ring holder. Something to hold your valuables safe and secure while you are not using them. But you will know just where they are when you come back for them.

Country: Antarctica. Remote. Distant. Very difficult to reach.
Body of water: The lake that Andy and Opie used to fish at on the old Andy Griffith show. Reminds you of simpler times.
Figure from history: Oliver Cromwell, Lord Protector. Eventually undone by circumstances beyond his control
Porcelain figurine: probably that "Jesus dribbling a basketball" figurine that was so controversial last Christmas, if only for shock value.
Article of clothing: an imitation Rolex watch. You look impressive to your friends when you have me, and only you know I am a fake.
