catalina_francisco said:LOL, thanks for the laughs Sierra and graceanne..came in handy this morning. Have been racing against the clock all week to get this kitchen ready and am still behind and aching all over so what happens?!! First thing this morning the power disappears. Of course the power box was different to what I am used to and in Dutch so that was little use, my phones had been knocked loose and I didn't realise so I had no phone contact (though who would I call when I don't understand what those recorded messages are telling me to do). Phoned a certain man on the little credit left on the mobile and that didn't help. Tried to think positive that perhaps all the houses had lost power so would just have to wait...but that never works for me for long.
The one neighbour I have met was out so got brave and asked her neighbour if she had power which she did, then got her paniced for me as she said her husband takes care of all such things and she wouldn't even know who to call. Finally saw another neighbour out shaking her mats so tried again. LOL, she immediately called her husband who was only too pleased to come take a look and show me how to tell if it was all working. He found the problem in 5 minutes and with a chuckle had everything burring away in no time. ROFLMAO, one way to meet the neighbours, covered in plaster, hair a mess, and needy. Sheesh, think I wiull have to have a coffee morning once the house is presentable. So back to plastering and painting and trying to step around all the bits and pieces.

OMG talk abouta day that you wish you hadn't gotten out of bed! *big hug* I hope your day improves. And look at the bright side, all this'll help motivate you to get to know your neighbors a bit better. I always introduce myself to my neighbors, but that's for several reasons. The biggest is that I feel safer. Then I know what everyone looks like in our neighborhood, and can tell if theres a stranger around. With three small kids you can never be too careful. The other? I'm a chatterbox, always looking for someone to talk to. lol I know, it's hard to believe that i talk a lot, but . . . there you go.
