This is all utter bullshit. Nasty isn't anymore gone than I am. I have never in my life seen any one person use guilt and sympathy the way this guy does. Is he so used to it that he doesn't even realize he's doing it? It's possible. But it's not an excuse for bringing it to the boards and hurting people. Let it go, nasty. You can't make anyone love you, and it will only make her more uncomfortable if you keep this shit up! You just threw all hope of friendship down the drain by pulling this.

Oh, and one more thing: When someone tells you that you're making them uncomfortable, it is unacceptable to continue. Now not only have you kept it up, you've made it public. Good going, pal! If it's your intention to make her feel so uncomfortable that she leaves, you're doing a good job. You could have avoided all this by continuing to just be friendly like she asked. You'll get no sympathy from me. When a woman says "no," she means it. Now BACK THE FUCK OFF!

You might want to consider that people who have known Nasty for years might have a solid basis for having a good opinion of him, and be reticent reevaluate it based on the complaints of people they know less well, particularly when some of those people, frankly, present themselves as rather goofy.

Human feeling is not a zero sum game. Sympathy expressed to Nasty does not come at your friend's expense, people are capable of generating more for her if they were to decide she was worthy.
