. To my mind he was the most interesting of the beatles. I am not certain why i feel that way. I guess i admire anyone who would go broke to make a movie. Also, that whole Eric Clapton thing fascinates me. How many men could loose a wife to one of there best friends and still continue to be that mans friend. It always indicated to me that George had a sense of serenity about him. Maybe thats what i admired most.

Bye for now, George

I grew up dreaming of and loving the Beatles (John Lennon was my first "crush"), and so many years later I still feel their influence.

George Harrison was the first Beatle I was fortunate to see in person, and as the youngest of the Fab Four, I always felt he was the wisest!

His talent was immense, and it was wonderful seeing his musical skills blossom, especially after the group's breakup. George practiced what he preached and seemed able to always enjoy what he was doing without any major fanfare.

It's a shame his last years with us included the stalker attack and such a mighty fight against cancer, but we now have another peaceful person looking out over us as we struggle through this uncertain time.

And weren't the Travelling Wilburys fun?

they were indeed fun!!!!!!!! I regret that they did not make more music together. Does anyone else notice that good people seem to suffer more in this world? Or maybe, its because we notice the good that causes us to notice the pain.

Yes, goodbye Mr. Harrison.
I'll be seeing you.

Here comes the sun....

safe journey to the summerlands , george

i just hope that if there is an afterlife, he's in then house band..or i'm not going..
**sigh** bye, bye sweet george

Think for yourself... 'Cause I won't be there with you

~Something in the way she knows
And all I have to do is think of her
Something in the things she shows me

I don't want to leave her now
You know I believe and how~

As a huge Beatles fan, it's sad, sad news to hear the George lost his battle with cancer. He's been ill for so long you knew it could happen, but you hoped it wouldn't. It's sad to see someone like that die so young. Just 58.

I rememeber when John Lennon was murdered, I couldn't believe it, that someone that talented could be taken from us. Lennon is dead, George Harrison is dead, Paul McCartney's wife Linda died...time marches on. Yet their music is as fresh and wonderful as ever. I firmly believe that 200 years from now interplantary tachyon-beam transmitters will be playing the Beatles. They'll last the way Beethoven has lasted--because the wrote some of the greatest music in human history.
Gonna listen to some Beatles, some Traveling Wilburys, some G.H.
