So you don't really want software for .mov files as much as you want something that will capture the screens, right?

If that's the case, I like Gadwin PrintScreen. Easy to use free software.

Well, I can capture screens ok but I want something that allows me to go frame by frame and then copy still snapshots of a frame.

Ive got quicktime but I cant find anything on that either. I seem to remember being able to do this on my dvd software but it wont do these mov's.

I figured out how to go frame to frame but still no way to copy or capture individual frames as pics.

Do I have to buy the good version of quicktime or should I buy a converter to avi's or something like that?

If you share how it works we will know too.... :p

(that's the whole idea of How To)

Opps, it was so simple I was embarassed. In the file pull down menu in the quicktime viewer, there is a copy button. you get to the frame you want by clicking on the little black arrrow and then use the left or right buttons to get where you want, then click on the copy button in the pull down menu and open your pic software and paste it into a folder.

It wouldnt paste by itself without using my photoeditor (I use ACDsee)
Once I had that open and a folder open the paste fuction worked.

All things are simple once you know how to do them! No need to be embarassed, happens to all of us. I once asked directions to a building I had just parked in front of. How about that?!

Thanks for sharing!
