Good deeds done today

I bought the coffee for the lady behind me in the Tim Horton's drive thru.
I'm working from home so all the good/dirty deeds going forward are all for me. ;)

I had a Shell gas station over charge me 50 cents a gallon yesterday.
The pump charged me for perineum unleaded when I pushed regular
but it didn't light up any numbers as to which grade gas it was giving me or charging me.
I had to find out from the printed receipt. I went to talk to the manager & he didn't care.
Treated me like I was some stupid female who had pushed the wrong button.
Then claimed the hose had to have pushed the button for that grade gas.
But with nothing lighting up something was wrong. The gas ass was also rude so I made a call....
So the State of Florida is sending an inspector over tomorrow to check out the pump.

I posted about it on Facebook & it appears to be an on going issue at that location.
So hopefully this will take care of that ass hat.

did anyone make up for me being shut down since surgery.
right now my good deed is to be selfish, sleep & heal.

I took a walk and passed one house where there was a lacrosse goal set up in the yard. It was at the top of a hill. As I walked down the hill I saw 6 or 7 lacrosse balls littering the side of the road. I picked them all up, walked back up the hill and put them all inside the goal before finishing my walk.

I organized my mom's medications for the upcoming week, and "helped" her refill a couple of prescriptions. And cleaned out her fridge. She's in the early stages of Alzheimer's, and these things tend to challenge her.

During my soccer game, one of the moms had three small kids. She clearly had her hands full with one little boy being very rambunctious. When I came off the field, I took a ball over the boy and kicked it back and forth with him. He had the biggest smile. After watching all the dads play, he just wanted to play. And mom had her hands full with the other two. He was the cutest little boy and I had a blast entertaining him while I was taking my break from the field. Both mom and dad were thanking me for helping. But really, it was great fun for me. Been forever since my boys were that young.

I LOVE this...Of course you did this...it is SO YOU...always the thoughtful one, the giving one, the taking care of everyone else before yourself one...

Thanks for sharing this...made me smile and enforce my belief in kindness and humanity...

You are such an angel...:rose::rose:

I got to help one of my nurses yesterday. She's retired now & a neighbor. So when we knew I was facing surgery I bartered with her to come over for shower duty and I finally got to help her yesterday start to set up an etsy page. We started last fall & she's got items in a shop in the art village now. I also showed her how to make posts on Facebook so she can take a picture of a new item & show her friends.

She sews and makes custom items for people in assisted living situations. So things like dining vests, bibs or scarfs for older or handicapped people. OR putting in Velcro to a wounded warrior's favorite old jeans (along the seams) so he can wear them again... but better yet even dress himself. Items that give some dignity back to people who are facing a hardship some way & just want to be able to help themselves and feel normal in some ways.

It feels wonderful to be able to help the people who have been helping me. :rose:

Great, grrrrrr. I did all my good deeds yesterday!

Sigh, there's always next week.

I bought a basket of freshly picked Southern Ontario perfect strawberries at the farmer's market for a friend that I adore.

Helped a newbie with a story they were writing.
Watched the daughter of a friend so he could get a break.
Made him dinner.
