I love erotica, and a friend of mine let me borrow this book. I thought it was absolutely amazing! Has anyone else around here read it? If so, we should start a discussion or something...If not, check it out.

Gone is the Shame

Hi,
I have not read it but curious. The site I went to did not give much of a desription on it. Is it stories of erotica, reaching erotica with your lover, or a story.
Can I check this out out the public library:D

It is a collection of erotica all written by lesbians for lesbians. All the stories are very, very different and most are excellent. I think I actually learned a lot from it = ) It's no "joy of lesbian sex" but it's quite exciting. as for the library...uh...i don't know = )

Yeah, I picked it up at the discount table at Borders a few years ago for something like $6. To be honest, there are really only a few stories in there that truly appeal to me, the majority of them are kind of boring. Red Jordan Arobateau's Pleasure in the Glitter Gutter and Turk Street are great, and I like Karlyn Lotney's The Clash of the Titans (that's Fairy Butch, btw), and Laura Antoniou's In the Name of Art too. There are a couple of others - the office one with the lady fucking the secretary (who's been fucking the boss), but I can't find it right now - and a few others. Most of them are just too sappy and fluffy and dreamy for me. (Then again, I like Pat Califia's book Macho Sluts too.)

All that said, though, the spine on my copy of Gone is the Shame is pretty well bent.

Man, I so need to get to a book store someday. Anybody got a credit card they'll let me use? :D

Damn. Maybe I'm gonna have to see if book stores will take sexual favors as payment for really good books.

:p

Pollyjean and I picked a couple of new books up, Sat. at Powells book store. Daughters of Darkness (Lesbian vampire stories) and Woman Who Run With Werewolves. Both are a collection of short stories, thought they would be a little more erotic, but still good. Has anyone else read ethier of them?
