Going Commando?

Went to a 20 year highschool reunion a couple of weeks ago. The topic of not wearing underwear came up and then the question "What do you call it when you don't wear underwear?"

The term "Going Commando" came up, but no one really could say exactly what that is supposed to mean. And is there a different term for men and women?

Just kind of curious...

I've only known it as "going commando" and recently had a nice experience with it myself. With my new cyber-relationship with WC, I wanted him to think about me while he was at work, as I always think about him. I told him (and did) that I would go to work "commando" and go in the restroom to touch myself for him throughout the day...It felt so wicked. My slacks would rub against me if I moved in certain positions and I was aroused constantly all day--dont worry I'm not a surgeorn or doctor or anything like that--no one would suffer from my pleasure....LOL

WC seems to totally break down any inhibitions I have and inspire me to be naughty. I like it. I've actually been commando alot since this whole cyber experience.

Yeah, where DID the term originate?

I only know that term from watching the TV show "Friends" - the episode where Joey "goes commando" wearing Chandler's pants as revenge in a feud they're having.

I've wondered where the term came from, and how it came to mean what it does.

"Back when I was younger we just called it: going without underwear" too. And honestly, I've not really discussed the topic much at all in my life - only at times when my younger brother is being teased because he prefers "going without underwear."

I dont watch much TV especially now that the computer is sooo exciting, but FRIENDS is still my fav show.
