God I'm Confused

I've yet to see an organized busness. Or a smart one or i'd have a job by now.

Hope things work out Lavy.

I'd call both of them first thing tomorrow, find out which of them is higher up the food chain, and tell them you are very interested but need clarification (obviously). Make sure all three of you are on the same page. BTW, they are footing the bill for the airline tickets, aren't they?

Good Luck - if I can help, let me know.

It does sound confusing and at the risk of planting seeds of unfounded optimism, I won't say alot except that my fingers and toes are crossed for you.

Good Luck

:)

If you think that you're confused now...

Just wait until you start to practice Law. Good luck, sweetie. Anyone that hires you will be getting a very literate and resourceful lady lawyer.

Argh! I emailed and phoned the woman who sent me the email. This is rather amusing. :)

your going about it the right way trying to deal with the person that sent the email ... rather then the person that sent the rejection letter ... because the person who sent the letter is obviously stupid :)

good luck lavender hope you get the one you are looking for

I think that is called a minor snafu. Overall, your prospects sound great to me! They'll snatch you up right away if they have any brains at all.

Everything matters. Just get another verbal from whoever contacted you. Believe me, don't assume anything. They may be seperate but it's all under one company name. You have nothing to lose by overcommunicating. Regardless of the company, they do make mistakes, especially when it comes to the interview/hiring process. offers, starting dates, etc.

I'm happy for you. Good luck, and knock 'em dead!

Good luck lavy.:D

oh....there didn't happen to be anything else in your mailbox was there?

HA! I am the Queen of IMPATIENCE! I paid extra for 2 day delivery. 5 days ago!

I just know it is going to be a melted mess...............did she tell you what I did?

They will all want you

:p

Regarding the food chain, it doesn't really matter with law firms as long as they are both large branches/offices within the same firm. Both of these are rather large offices.
I think miles was referring to the two parties in firm #2 who originated the letter and the e-mail; i. e., which party in that firm is higher in the chain of command.

Also, could the letter have been expressing the idea that they were unable to reach you (bad phone number, busy signal, etc.) vice would not be calling you for a second contact? Just a thought.
